How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is a road right next to the villa. I stayed a Saturday night, and the local youth seem to love playing loud music in their cars and speeding with their noisy motor bikes. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs ☺️

Verified reviewVery nice hotel. Close to the port and easy to get to from the airport. The room was spacious and very clean, with a nice balcony that has a nice view. The host was very reliable (arranged taxis from the airport and to the port) and friendly.

Verified reviewWonderful hosts who helped us book a quad as we arrived which then was at the accomodation in 20 mins (which we travelled the island with). They also helped organise a lift to the port the next day and provided amazing places to eat (off the tourist beaten track). The pool was refreshing and the beds comfortable. Would stay again!

Verified reviewThe lady who runs the place was lovely and gave us some good recommendations and she arranged a car hire for us when we arrived. My gf also had to work online so she prepared the room and allowed us to check in early so she could work, very accommodating! The room was great and the view from the balcony was great too.

Verified reviewThe staff were not helpful at all and very strict, my grandkid’s were jumping in the pool only from the side of the pool and were told to stop it by an elderly gentleman staff member. The adults with the kids were only 2 ft away from them and the kids were doing no harm whatsoever as there was not anyone else in the pool at the time! The kids were on holiday and were trying have fun so do NOT go here if you have kids and want to enjoy your holiday! The location wasn’t good either you had to actually walk on the main road which was a very steep hill (where you were taking your life in your hands as the cars and buses zoomed up and down)I would NOT recommend this hotel at all.
Dear Jacqueline, We are really sorry for being unable to live up to your expectations. For firsts, we would like to address not only to the three rooms reserved under your name but also to the rest of your group. You have been permitted by us, with great pleasure and willingness on our behalf, to remain by the pool area until your departure time (a service which we gladly offer all our guests). That was due to the fact that we have great respect for the needs of a big group of all ages with varying needs . We have clarified that the WC could be used for your needs and clothing change and not for showering, not because a shower hose doesn’t exist but because it is highly unhygienic for 13 guests to use a single shower one after the other . Again this time we wouldn’t have treated any other guest differently. For remarks, the second hose you are referring to isn’t near the pool and is used strictly for housekeeping and gardening and due to its pressure it isn’t suitable for guest use. As you have correctly mentioned, you remained in our premises until 19:00pm, as it can very easily be proven by footage of our surveillance cameras . This footage also suggests that the kids were playing with a ball during quiet hours (which isn’t allowed as stated on our pool safety rules board), disturbing and irritating guests who were trying to enjoy their stay (a reminder here that you had already checked out while allowing this kind of behavior from your grandkids) . Not even a single complaint was made by us, despite the fact that all your luggage was stored outside long after checking out, laying in every possible place of our outdoor area which not only creates noise and confusion but also ruins the aesthetic of our well tidied and maintained villa. Being a small family business we respect all guests’ wants and needs and as indicated by hundreds of reviews we try our best to offer the best hospitality experience. We are really sorry that you have been left dissatisfied, as we made a great effort to juggle both the needs of your group as well as those of the in-house guests. Evaggelia Danezi

Verified reviewWe just passed through Santorini for one night but Evaggelia and the staff were so nice to welcome us and helps us for the transfers and the late check in. Also gave us recommendations about restaurants and bars around the area.
