How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had an outstanding stay at this charming, boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and provided exceptional service throughout our visit. The daily Greek breakfast was delicious and hearty—perfect fuel for a beach day just across the street or for exploring the island. Our spacious room was ideal, even giving us enough space to roll out yoga mats for our morning practice. Housekeeping was excellent, keeping everything spotless during our five days of pure relaxation. Between the beautiful hotel pool and the nearby beach (complete with reserved chairs, towels, and attentive service), we had the best of both worlds. Staff were always on hand to answer questions or make dinner reservations, adding to the stress-free experience.
“The room could have benefited from a bit more natural light, and the pool area felt a little exposed—some added privacy would make it more enjoyable.”

Verified reviewThe facilities and the availability and kindness of the personel.
The way they dealt with an incident at restaurant, where they charged 100€ of indemnity for a table corner that broked as we moved slightly the table. Ridiculous for a 5 star resort where you pay 1000€ per room/night!

Verified reviewWe loved our 5 nights at Virtu Suites, from the moment we arrived the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. We felt very spoilt at the beach area being able to have front row spots everyday with comfy beach lounges, umbrellas & the best ever staff serving drinks & food. The room itself was stunning, quiet & spacious, we had direct access from our room into the pool which was fabulous and our breakfasts were delivered straight to our patio every morning & were delicious. We had the most relaxing & enjoyable stay and highly recommended Virtu Suites to anyone lucky to be travelling to Naxos.
Nothing.

Verified reviewLocation and style
We received a fabulous welcome. We were encouraged to invite our friends from Australia, who we had travelled to meet, on the private beach. We were embarrassed a day later when we were asked by Virtu staff to leave the private area if we wanted to remain with our friends. Following this incident we no longer felt we wanted to use any of the hotel’s facilities.

Verified reviewWould have been better to have fresh fruit for breakfast, salad for breakfast is not what most people want. Some food seemed re-heated. Coffee was good.
Room interior furnishings very cheap and not very useable with a huge table stuck in the middle of the room. Pillows were very hard and we had to request softer ones which were provided. Our case was left at reception and we had to go and retrieve it ourselves to our upstairs room on arrival. Clothes storage was minimal. Far too expensive for what it is, it is not 5 star, barely a four I would say.

Verified reviewBoutique hotel design and proximity to the beach.
The bedding: sheets were rough, and pillows were hard as rocks. You could only see the ocean if you stood at the window. The room was quite dark for an ocean view suite. The service at the beach was poor.

Verified reviewThe property was very beautiful to look at and the beach across the road was lovely
The service was a real let down Definitely not 5 star Only the reception staff were welcoming and happy The restaurant and bar staff didn’t speak at all Stood around watching us Not clearing tables Quite intimidating, the room they don’t give fresh towels unless you ask or even attend to the room in the evening Approx 20 confusing light switches in the room No water in the fridge Having to fill out a form the evening before to get breakfast in the morning is not a 5 star hotel to me No privacy between balconies just some ropes hanging Waiting 40 minutes for breakfast when there was only 2 other people in the hotel restaurant at the same time They said they were understaffed but had 4 men standing around the bar all day not doing a lot while people lugging their own luggage down flights of stairs themselves Didn’t get a wifi code or even told about the spa treatments on offer For the amount of money per night charge Well over $1200 AUD per night I expect 5 star treatment A massive disappointment for us The best part of our trip was our driver Pedros🙏👌

Verified reviewPool, breakfast, hot tub, location and staff were excellent. Restaurant was also great for a reasonably healthy, tasty meal with great view and very pleasant staff. Great place for a very relaxing stay in a beautiful location.
The beach umbrellas did not provide good shade as they were more decorative than functional.
