How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Only disadvantage the fact that our room was ground floor. One night they had a party next door and it was a bit noisy.
We really enjoyed our beautiful room. Great interior styling and in close proximity from the centre. Our room was very clean and well thought.

Parking everywhere is not easy.
Perfect stay for our family- seperate sofa beds for my kids was sooooo nice to have as well as a private room for us. Perfect location!!!!

Perfect location and very clean and comfortable. Everything was in excellent shape and the little touches such as water in the fridge and coffee and little snacks made our stay extra special. Also even though we never met our hosts they were especially accommodating to our needs!!

Perfect location in Nafplio. Just steps away from amazing eateries, shopping and a couple of minutes walk to the waterfront. The property had everything we needed, including complimentary snacks and water/juice daily. Great shower and comfortable bed. Cleaned daily. Great comfortable room.

There was quite a bit of light in the bedroom in the morning, coming from the window in the loft, other than that everything was really great!
Great location, close to everything, great design and very quiet. I would definitely stay there again!

It’s not necessarily bad, but we didn’t notice that from the photos: the door to the apartment is clear and located directly on the sidewalk. For us it wasn’t bother too much because there were good curtains to cover, but it was something to pay attention to.
The apartment was very clean and you can notice that the host put a lot of effort in there. The location was also great and it was really a lovely stay!

Loved everything
The property was in a great location in the old town of Nafplion- close to the harbor and only a 2-3 walk from the Centre. It has been tastefully renovated with a quality fit out. It is spacious and quiet.

We booked two rooms for our family. Both rooms were clean and in excellent condition. The host was very helpful and provided us with all the information we asked. The location is great.

Everything was great.
Very nice renovated apartment in a very nice location. Great natural light. Nice furniture and comfortable mattress. Very clean apartment. Gentle communication and accommodating behaviour by the manager of the apartment, who addressed all our requests with politeness. Important that the apartment has Nespresso machine and some snacks for the visitors as well as fridge. Air condition is located in a smart way in the rooms so that the flow of the air is not directed to the areas where a guest normally sits/ sleeps. Good quality of towels / linen/ slippers and shampoo/ shower gel. Location accommodates parking needs and you can load / unload outside of the apartment with easiness.

The street in front is quite nosy and beds are unfortunately very uncomfortable
