Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelNothing really. Finding the place at night was a bit tricky :) but the owners were available to help guide us through it

AustriaWhat you should know is the owners run a beach bar (La Palma) in front of the rooms, you have to be aware plus the fact that for me the coldest river of Crete crosses the sea exactly there - means you will find spots with warmer sea temperature.
One of the closest to the beach in Georgioupolis if not the nearest beachline accomodation. Good service (room cleaning every second day) and very convenient within walking distance to the village.

RomaniaBeautiful place, stepping out from the room on green grass under the palm trees and after, directly on the beach. Breakfast was not fancy but practical and good to start the day with it on the bar terrace, watching the sea and enjoing the coffe. Clean room has good furniture and was cleaned every 2 days and towels replaced when cleaning. Good place to rest; room was quiet durring the night since the bar activity ends at 22:00. Sun beds for the guests are free on the sandy beach, clear water and entry in the sea is slow; deep water is far from shore. At the bar you can have grilled food, salats and drinks durring the all day, and if lucky you can get Antikristo bbq :) which is specific for Crete - thank you Stefanos and Manos. Location is not in Georgiopoulis but the city/village is easy to reach with a short walk on the beach. In Georgiopoulis is a variety of taverns, hotels and turistic options you mai visit before going back to La Palma for a restful night. Renting a car is recommended if you want to visit more places in Crete. From La Palma you need to drive about 1 hour to cross the island to the Southern beaches or to the beaches North of Chania.

RomaniaWe think that bungalow (at least #4) could use a bit of renovation. The bathroom also is too small if you have kids who still need help with the bath.
The location of the property is excellent, very close to Georgiopoulis. The beach is great, you can always find a free sun bed. Manos and his brother are excellent hosts, always ready to help and go the extra mile to make you happy. Rooms are clean and nice. Thanks for everything, id we are coming back to Crete, seriously considering staying here again.

HungaryIt would be great if the rubbish were changed daily, not on every other day.
The location was fantastic, the hosts were really kind. Sunbeds were included with the room. The city was a 10 min walk on the beach, and it was also really nice. The beach is clean, and the beach boy was kind and helpful as well.

It is a perfect place if you love sandy beach, lush palm trees, greenery and privacy. My room was clean, recently renovated and spacious. Plenty room for parking my car. Breakfast was modest but fresh and ample. Sunbeds and umbrellas were free of charge. All in all, I enjoyed my three night stay there - thank you for taking good care of me.

LuxembourgThe place is exceptional. The room was very clean every day. The service was a real experience of the original Cretan hospitality. The food was an unexpected experience and a chance to taste fresh seafood or original Cretan recipies or even have a cocktail in front of the sea and the river. I visit Creta every summer but I can assure you this was the best place I have ever been by far… Thank you so much …..

ItalyThe location directly on the beach is wonderful. You can swim in the sea and then go home and have a private shower in your bungalow. You can drink a coffee and have breakfast at the beach bar. The restaurant makes tasty food for lunch and dinner. The staff is absolutely kind and helpful. It feels like home, just with sea and mountain view.

GermanyOur only complain is that one of the rooms smelled a little humid, and it was impossible to shower without flooding the bathroom.
The whole area including the room, the bar and the beach create a nice and relaxing atmosphere. People are very fiendly, chilled and supportive. In particular "Calimero", the good soul of the beach, is phantastic - he takes care of the people and is always open for a chat. We also chilled under the palm trees in front of the appartments, and enjoyed having breakfast in the beach bar with great ocean view. The village with restaurants and shops is in walking distance. It's not a 4* resort, but it doesn't pretend to be so. We we first suspicous about having the bar in front of the appartments, but it was very quite and we used it as "veranda" in the evening.

United KingdomDon't go !!! In this venues favour, I will initially state that the rooms appeared clean. However, the place has the appearance of a very old Butlins barracks. If you like the series Benidorm - this may be the place for you. It does not depict the real Crete (which is my heritage) in any way at all. The area behind our 'apartment' was full of metal rubbish, with nauseating cooking smells and smoke billowing out the back. We were advised the room faced the sea..but in fact the room faced directly onto a scruffy looking beach bar- with the sea somewhere beyond. We had paid for 3 nights and stayed 2 hours, which is the time it took to search the internet to find something of a better standard. ...which to be very honest, was not a difficult thing to do.

ItalySince they are named apartments, I was expecting to have a cooking corner or at least some kitchen facilities. Unfortunately nothing like that is available, not even a glass or a kettle. Therefore keep this in mind especially if you are travelling with children. I would also suggest to add mosquito nets at the windows and doors. It would have been nice some nights to keep the door open and listen at the sea sound, but unfortunately mosquitoes and insects that are naturally in the green wouldn't allow it.
The rooms are completely new, the furniture and decorations and also the bathroom are very nice and modern. The rooms are right in front of the beach, so it is a wonderful location.
