How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewLovely staff, outdoor common area beautiful, beds super nice. The team did an excellent job of soundproofing the windows from the noisy bars outside.
I personally found it really difficult to sleep, I think that was a combination of loud roommates which is sort of out of the control of the hostel and then very loud acoustics in the building that meant that I could hear check ins around 3am from the level 1 room. That said, if you encountered similar difficulties I'm sure that the staff would be open to helping you move rooms.

Our bunk beds are accurately represented in the photos on our Booking.com listing, and we have never advertised that they come with curtains. We’re also curious how the absence of curtains affected your stay, especially considering you were traveling with a group of friends and had private use of a 4-bed dorm. Regarding the shower doors, they are intentionally designed without locks for safety reasons. In the unlikely event that someone needs assistance, our staff—who are present on-site 24/7—must be able to respond quickly. Guest safety is and always has been a top priority for us. We believe that had you stayed more than one night, you might have had a fuller experience of our hostel and found that your concerns were less significant than they initially seemed. Verified reviewThe hostel staff especially the reception staff, are friendly, talkative and helpful. The hostel is generally very clean. The area is mostly local and very fun. It's also great that you can find a bar, restaurant and coffee shop right outside the door. I definitely recommend it. I can say it's the best among the hostels I've stayed in. Verified reviewI know it's a hostel, but it should still have some basic rules like keep quiet after a certain hour. I could not sleep at all during the night bc of laughters and slammed doors. normally I would use earplugs and be fine with it, but I had an early flight and didn't want to risk not hearing the alarm. so next time I have an early flight I'll definitely choose something quieter. otherwise it's good value for money

Verified reviewVery well designed with comfortable bed , only stayed for one night so didn’t use the common areas . Very very welcoming and friendly front desk staff , super helpful and i loved the area and location , it’s a very clean hostel and people were totally nice.
The beds don’t have curtains so you don’t have that much privacy also here you have to rent towels or buy the shampoos as they won’t be included in your booking so for one night it will be 10% of your total stay costs :)

Verified reviewThe location is just amazing! The neighborhood has a lot of bars, coffee shops, restaurants but since the hostel rooms mostly faced the inside courtyard, it's pretty quite for the location. And the hostel is super clean with great amenities. I didn't partake but it seemed like there were a lot of activities organized by the team as well. Perfect for both a more solo trip and for socializing.
As always with hostel sometimes you can be roommate with someone who really doesn't understand those unwritten social rules and will open the blinds fully and pack for a whole hour at 6 a.m., but this is not at all on the hostel and I would still 100% come back.

I want to emphasize that this hostel has good facilities, but you’ll have to hold the shower head.
