How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewOverall, we liked the hotel a lot. The location, staff, room, cleanliness and pools are all great and the hotel didn’t feel too crowded. Also, we were upgraded to a room with a private pool when we arrived which was really nice.
The music in the pool area is quite loud, which can be annoying since it’s playing from the morning until 23.00. Also, the choice of desserts in the restaurant could be more varied.

Verified reviewClean and fresh hotel. Plenty of space at the pool areas. Rooms with good size and good overall standard. Our room was upgraded to a room with private pool. Good service, kind staff.
- The food was equivalent to dog food. Couldn’t even handle seeing the buffé after the 1st day. - Bar closes 23:00, after that drinks cost. How is that all inclusive? - No steamer/iron in the room. Didn’t ask for it though, so I don’t if it’s available at the reception.

Lack of information and poor signage . All drinks in cheap plastic glasses because the pool bar became the ONLY evening bar , with very bright lighting and poor plastic chairs. Restaurant was actually very similar to a “School Canteen “… the over zealous staff constantly removing plates from our table before we had finished eating..they then cleaned and put them in trolleys creating loud banging and crashing . The food was at best “passable” but mostly uninspiring

Verified reviewI stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised! The food was simply excellent – diverse and very tasty, with something new to try every day. The room was cleaned daily, always tidy and neat. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. I especially enjoyed the bar with its amazing cocktails, and the ice cream were an absolute delight! My stay was fantastic, and I will definitely come back again!
The only downside was the gym, which turned out to be completely non-functional. It’s unclear why they display photos of it if you can’t actually use it. I had to go to a paid gym instead, which was an unpleasant surprise.

Verified reviewDisappointing Experience with Some Highlights During our recent stay at the White Olive Premium Laganas Hotel in Zakynthos, we unfortunately had a less-than-satisfying experience. While the hotel has some positive aspects, several areas require urgent improvement. Firstly, the food in the restaurant was disappointing. It was often cold, tough, and lacked variety. The same dishes were served almost every day, which became monotonous after a while. The bread was extremely dry and certainly not of the quality you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The pool bar also fell short of expectations. The atmosphere was dull, with the same music played day after day, both during the day and in the evening. The lack of variety in the music made the experience feel repetitive. Additionally, all drinks were served in disposable plastic cups, which significantly detracted from the sense of luxury. In terms of location, the hotel is situated right next to a busy road, and the pool is adjacent to both the parking lot and the street. This created noise and a lack of privacy, which made the pool area less relaxing than we had hoped. Another disappointment was the quality of the toilet paper, which was simply inadequate. It was of very poor quality, and you had to use a lot to ensure clean hands. This was both inconvenient and unpleasant, and not what one expects from a hotel of this caliber. However, there were some positives. Mery, the bartender, deserves a special mention. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, and her warm personality was a bright spot during our stay. Employees like her are vital to creating a welcoming hotel environment, and the hotel would do well to keep her. Overall, our experience was unfortunately disappointing. The hotel has potential, but several areas need immediate attention to meet the expectations of a 5-star establishment.

A lot of Greek food as well, so you could get acquainted with the culture. The room was cosy and clean. Good isolation. The staff were friendly and assisting. It is close to the beach, the swimming pools are great area to relax. We were very happy to stay there and definitely recommend to friends.

Verified reviewFirst of all BIG BIG thumbs up for the staff, specialy receptionists: Iota, Kostas, Jenny and Mary ! We got free upgrade of our room on arrival ! Also slightly later check-out at the end was arranged without a problem and no extra fee ! And we also recived a welcome gift at the first evening ! - you can change the beach towels everyday - good, delicious food, plenty of choice - ice cream in the restaurant / bars - shower has good preassure, quick adjustment of temperature, good drainage - good pillows (big plus for me !) and very comfortable beds ! - noise isolation was good enough - parking infront of hotel - good / OK location (couple of mins to the beach and some 5 to main street) - good enough WiFi throught entire area of the hotel property - very quick waiters, not crowdy restaurant - everything is clean - friendly and flexible staff - big room with enough space to store all the things / clothes - good working AC - big lobby area with many sofa's to wait upon early arrival or later departure
in general there was not a single thing we didn't like ! Only couple of tiny tiny details which are not that important: - "anti-theft" cloth-hangers (just my personal non-liking, otherwise not a big deal) - gym could be better equipped (again, not a big deal !) - TV could had more channels to choose from, wider variety (not a big deal) - water in the taps & shower is a bit salty (not a big deal for us)
