Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The friendly welcome, and kind and generous hosts were just as we remembered it from our stay six years ago. The house is full of character and the rooms very comfortable. The breakfast was really exceptional. Delicious food. Fantastic choice and very generous.

Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of options - cheese cakes, pies, salads, omlettes, yoghurts, etc. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the necessary facilities plus extras. The host was very hospitable, showed us where to park and how to plan the hikes in the surrounding mountains.

The owner, Alias, is so generous - all the time tried to help, the breakfast is so big and he gave un aluminiom paper to take the rest so we will eat later. The room is amazing and it is a grteat place!

We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to everyone! :) The husband and wife were very sweet and helpful. The guesthouse is in a beautiful location, and the breakfast was delicious. They even gave us aluminum foil to take the leftovers with us on our hike – we loved snacking on them! :)

We found the bed too hard and the shower was small and leaked into the bathroom floor. These were minor issues.
A unique historic small guesthouse. The owners were very welcoming and served the most marvellous and plentiful breakfast! We enjoyed our short stay in this old beautiful mountain village.

Magnificent traditional guesthouse built from rock and wood, a glimse of history and a pleasant escape from the identically looking modern soulless hotels! Very welcoming hosts, great breakfast.

We booked this guesthouse after having read many positive reviews about the amazing breakfast- and our high expectations were even surpassed!! Definitely the most amazing breakfast we had during our 2 week vacation in Greece! So much variation, flavor, mostly home made, truly amazing. The owners were very friendly and generous. We also really liked the guesthouse itself. The room had all we needed and was very clean. With its thick stone walls and wooden structures it felt very authentic. So go stay here and have the breakfast, you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful setting in the middle of Dimitsana (classified old style house). Very clean room and comfy bed. Ilias and Katherine were very helpful and the breakfast was simply fabulous! Parking on a small square near to the house.

Nothing really worth mentioning...
We were two friends hiking the Menalon Trail and arrive at the guesthouse after a long day of trekking. The guesthouse is located on top of hill, near the center of town, and is a short 1-2 minutes walk down to the main street where the shops and restaurants are located. Our room was spacious, lots of windows letting in sunlight and air, and we each slept at separate and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very rich and tasty, and as two hikers on the path, we especially were appreciative of the fact that any remaining food (and there was a lot!) was offered to us by the owners for packaging for use during our daily hike.

Outstanding hospitality from Mrs Katerina and Mr Elias. Delicious homemade breakfast! Special treatment to kids by the hosts. Wonderful traditional building with cozy rooms in the center of the village.

Nervous parkers/drivers: this is a mountain village, the streets are super narrow and we had a hard time finding a parking space but the hosts helped enormously! Definitely recommend contacting them/sending someone on foot up to the place before following Google maps! The extra bed (2rd single in flexible family room) was less comfortable than the other beds.
The breakfast was delicious and extensive; home baked traditional hot Greek pastries buy the owner! Accomodated us well with wanting 3 separate beds in the flexible family room. The owners kindly put the heating on as the night was cooler than normal (very effective!) Very friendly and kind hosts. Nice touch with the dressing gowns and slippers! Friendly cute little dog (stays with owners)!

Wonderful family who owns the property, which is a beautiful historical building that has been in the family for several generations. Don’t miss the opportunity to have breakfast at Kazakou - it was exceptional!
