How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There were some spills on the toilet seat when we arrived and some dust in the appartment but generally it was very clean. Another drawback was that the price was very high even though it was not summer time when we visited the place.
We really enjoyed our stay at Piteoussa, the location was very close to the port and the centre of Hydra, it was easy to access (5 min walk from the port). The room was comfortable, the bed matress was excellent, the balcony was cute with a view outside, there was constant cleaning and coffee/tea provided as well as small shampoos, toothbrushes, slippers and general amenities (towels, hairdryer etc). We could also stay later than the check out time without charge (there was no other reservation after ours to be honest). The owner was very kind and helpful.

I would have liked some basic crockery and cutlery so that you could bring food in without making a mess.
Everything was good and on easy reach of the harbour.

We loved this property. Our room was nicely decorated and had a small balcony. The bathroom was small but well appointed. We were a short walk from the hustle and bustle of the port. We enjoyed drinking wine in the afternoon on our balcony and sleeping late! The owner is a lovely, very helpful guy.

I love this place, been there 5 times now. It never disappoints! I love the location, such a beautiful spot. The owner is absolutely wonderful, helpful and kind. Looking forward to coming back next year 😊

One issue was the air conditioning, it wasn't the newest model. But we did stay during a heatwave and it managed fine at night. So still ok for us. And the shower could have been cleaned better and more often. Still 9/10 from us.
Great location, comfortable bed, the room had everything we needed. Room was cleaned daily. We had a lovely time at Piteoussa.

I can’t think of anything in particular
Excellent location removed from the hustle and bustle of the marina. The room was very spacious and I loved the balcony. The bathroom was very nice as well.

I could hear everything from the rooms close by
The situation is perfect ; away from the crowd but only 3 min walking to reach the center and to discover the wonderful island of Hydra which is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to 🤩 The house is so beautiful and the room is perfect : spacious, clean and modern with everything needed such as coffee machine / kettle / safe / mini fridge Very comfortable bed, great shower and huge terrace with a wonderful view

The owner was very nice and seemed to have a genuine heart for his job! We got to leave our luggage at his place on our last day which was very kind. Although when we arrived back we couldn't open the door and didn't get a response over the phone which was a bit scary but luckily not soon after he came running to let us collect our luggage!

Fantastic January getaway. Spacious room and felt very welcomed. The host was very helpful when the ferry got cancelled which meant we had to stay an extra night on Hydra.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. It was all great.
The location was great! The owner was so nice. This was by far one of the best bookings I have ever done. If you needed anything you heard back within minutes.

I am very happy about the service. Quick reply and could leave my stuff while exploring the island myself. The apartment itself was great! Had everything I needed. Location is at a bigger road. But it didn't bother me.
