The place was spotless. Aircon worked perfect and bed was clean and comfy. Perfect as a base to see the sights and great value. Good bus service not far away and local amenities close by. If, like me, you don't mind not having luxuries then the Zappion Hotel is more than adequate.

The room was not super comfortable and the bathroom extremely small. The main disadvantage was that the reception closes at 23:00 and the guest needs special arrangements if coming back earlier. It was a bit stressing to think about the hour of return, but at least I could sleep longer :)

The hotel is quite basic, with old furniture and very small bathroom. However, the personnel was very nice and it was overall what I ask asked for (cheap room for one night).

Absolutely nothing to not like about. Everything seems in the perfect manner. Some might say that the shower is small, but it was totally fine for me.

The location cannot be better. Just tucked away at the perfect walkable distance from everything and yet perfectly placed at the beginning of Metz a very nice suburb. I would recommend this to anyone solo or group!

The hotel and room are a little bit old, but considering the price, everything is acceptable.

The location is good near the Panathenaic Stadium. Personal at reception desk are very friendly. The nighttime curfew helps ensure safety and security.

Hotel was a little noisy in the halls . Don't expect too much but it was great for 2 days stop over.

The directions on how to get to the hotel from the train station ( provided by the hotel prior to arriving) Close to shops and restaurants . 15 minutes walk to the Plaka area.

I didn't like how small it is but it is totally value for money if you combine with the fact that it was very quite and in a good area of athens(pagkrati). Also the staff was very friendly!

I really can't complain about anything. It is a simple hotel and the price reflects that. There is no luxury, but the overall offer fits my needs and the staff is super friendly and helpful. A few things could be fixed/ upgraded (bathroom tiles, toilet), but personally, I don't mind as long as everything is clean and otherwise comfortable.

Have stayed here a number of times before and I am always very satisfied and I always recommend it to friends who ask me where to stay in Athens. It is great value for the money. The Zappion Hotel is in a neighbourhood that I personally like very much. A bit away from the touristic areas, but still within walking distance to everything. It is surrounded by a lot of nice and good value restaurants (e.g. at Platia Proskopon or Platia Varnava). This time I had a room on the top floor with no other rooms next to it or above it. It was perfectly quiet and I couldn't have wished for more. Everything that matters to me is good: comfy bed, air condition/ heating, good internet connection, clean, lots of storage space, shower with good water pressure and constant temperature, and pretty quiet.

The accommodation was extremely modest, the room small and the bathroom tiny with it hard to shower comfortably. Comfortable and clean and staff went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating making the stay more pleasant. Always felt safe in surrounds, great local cafes, easy walk to acropolis and plaka. Would like a bigger and more modern room and bathroom but represented good value for the money with the staff adding the plus value to the stay.
