1) The orthopedic mattress on the bed was very hard on my arthritic shoulders and 2) there is no support rail to assist a disabled person such as myself to enter and exit the pool. The hotel should seriously consider adding a support rail as a safety feature.

The room was very clean, the staff were WONDERFUL, the service was exemplary and the food was just excellent. My friends and I had professional massages, which were both relaxing and good value for money.

The receptionist Fernanda who first assisted me was rude and did not care about explaining the difference in pricing from booking and what they charged.

The location and staff where very attentive and courteous and always made sure we had what we needed. The A/C broke down in 2 of our rooms and they were speedy and providing another room and fixing one.

As much as we love to explore surroundings, we didn't want to leave this place. They just have everything. Restaurant, pool, ocean, massage, beautiful surroundings, and pretty sunset. Stayed there for 2 nights. Enjoyed everything. Stuff was really great!

My only comment here, we booked a Arena suite as we have a toddler and we need to have some specific food / snacks in the room for her, there are notes that there is not food allowed unless we are in this type of room or one category above, on the first night I went to the restaurant to ask for cutlery and plates, the person behind the restaurant declined the plates and just provided me with cutlery but he did it in a very rude way, he said this room doesn't come with that, the look he gave me just made me feel like I did something wrong, definitely set up the tone of the service he was providing on that first day and based on that I was not keen to see him when he was doing the check out. Maybe worth to check your policy? Having a little kitchenette + fridge doesn't make much sense if no utensils are provided.

Returning to this hotel for second time now, it did not disappoint! All facilities were great, amazing plus: the massages, super relaxing to have this with the sound of the sea in the background! Jose Alfredo is a GEM, true example of Guatemalan hospitality!

it’s not in the town of Monterrico, but that’s a good thing because you don’t get the party people and noise. instead it’s a little away from monterrico on the beach.

excellent hotel. it was so beautiful. clean. and customer service is exceptional. everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and be helpful to you. the hotel is very well maintained and very very good for families. it’s a very safe and friendly. the beach is maintained and kept clean. and there is a lifeguard on duty all the time. if you want an enjoyable and peaceful and beautiful holiday then this is the hotel to stay at. it’s also close to the turtle release refuge

I'm sorry I only stayed one night, it was the perfect place by the Pacific ocean. Next to the hotel is a center that takes care of turtles and I was able to release some into the ocean.
