The break fast and the closeness to the airport

Cold water no hot shower. The reception told me that they would book the airport transfer for 8am the following day it never happened and they couldn’t be bothered helping me with a solution even though it was included In the accommodation cost and service. Was a bit annoying for sure.

I stayed in Room 10, which is a very small single room with a twin bed. It was clean and adequate for a one-night stay, but definitely overpriced at $57 USD. It was not as nice as the pictures of the other rooms. Perhaps there are other single rooms nicer than this one. The bed was comfortable and had a foam mattress. The shower had hot water and good water pressure. The sink only has cold water. The included breakfast was good. The staff was very responsive and friendly, both during my stay and through our messaging back and forth before I arrived. They do offer an airport shuttle, but only during certain hours.  I was arriving late (9:30 pm), so I had to take an Uber, which was very easy and only cost about $4, including a tip, and was about a 5-minute drive from the airport. It is in a gated neighborhood, and I felt very safe there.

Overpriced for what you get - at least for the room I was in. Essentially, it's about paying for proximity to the airport. The windows in Room 10 overlook an unattractive interior space, so there is no outside ventilation. If you are booking a single, avoid room #10, if possible. There is a small fan in the room, but it doesn't do much. I'm an early riser, so it wasn't a problem for me, but I could definitely hear noise coming from downstairs starting at about 6-6:30 a.m. In comparison, in Atitlan, I stayed in a large, beautiful, lakefront room with a balcony for $60, so $57 for what felt like a small cell was not a great value.

Villa Toscana is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the airport for a next day departure. The Hostel is in a safe, gated community that is within walking distance of the airport or a quick 3 minute drive. The outdoor dining/breakfast on the back patio is lovely.

The Villa is very dated and could use an update to paint, decor and bedding. With its close proximity to the airport, there is a bit of air traffic noise, so if you're wanting to sleep in this may not be the place for you.

The breakfast was great, as was the location.

Unfortunately I got bitten all over by bed bugs. And when I told the lady at the front desk she didn’t seem To care or offer me anything back. This resulted in me changing my travel plans to go home and spend the week making sure my luggage was clean from any bed bugs. What a nightmare.

Perfect if you are having an overnight layover in Guatemala. Five minutes from the airport and they have a shuttle service. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a good stay! The garden and patio area—featured in the first photo—was our favorite part. It's a beautiful and relaxing space to enjoy. The breakfast provided was also great. The entire place was spotless and very well maintained.

We didn’t love the location. The property is in a guarded area, which gave off a bit of an unsafe feeling, even though we didn’t encounter any issues. It’s also quite far from the main attractions and areas we wanted to visit, which made getting around less convenient.

Breakfast in a lovely garden setting. We could park our car. Staff allowed us to store a couple items during our stay. The door lock got jammed and they were able to get a locksmith over to fix the lock within 1.5 hours.

My only suggestion would be to add a screen door to the sliding glass doors so you can fresh air without mosquitos getting in.

Beautiful building and garden in a secure area. Very peaceful. The front desk agent was helpful in ordering food to be delivered! Will definitely stay again.
