Right on the beach, less than 5 mins walk to the main street - room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble when asked.

Nothing not to like - though some hanging space for clothes would be useful.

It was a nice pool with very friendly staff. Air conditioning worked well.

There was no social activities or transportation available. It was a very low energy environment. The reception didn't have many recommendations for activities or transportation to those activities via rentable scooters, etc They don't seem very connected to their community like other hostels and hotels are. There was no developed beachfront amenities. Does not match the pictures

The staff were very friendly and helpful

You have to pay for wifi. The room was not very clean or comfortable. The beds were not comfortable with only a small pillow and sheet, no blanket. The bathroom was very much in need of repair. The pool was big but not very clean. They charge a fee if you bring outside food but the food they have is not very good. Ultimately it is way over priced for what you get.

We loved the location right on the beach. The pool was fantastic for our family to play in. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was nice and large. It could have used more hooks to hang towels/swimsuits. We would have liked more towels to use at the pool, separate from clean ones for the showers.

Main hotel is right on beach with lovely garden and pools behind

The mattress on our bed is in need of replacement- so hard A little updating is required and solar panels to produce hot water will be a big draw for European guests

Loved that its steps from the beach. the room we got was very spacious. Beds were clean and comfy.

Mosquitos were annoying. Make sure you have bug spray or burn incents to keep the mosquitos away. They don't permit any outside food or beverages.

The staff were incredible! Nice, helpful, professional. The pools and beach are fantastic. Easy to order food from the freshly prepared menu to the pool or beach. The location is central to everything. The people here are the among the best in any hotel.

The beds are firm and the rooms are minimal. Not really that important. Air-conditioned rooms available.

The facilities and outdoor area was pretty nice. I thought the hammocks near the pool were heaven and the hotel has potential. We also liked the breakfast and recommend the avocado toast.

So the afternoon we arrived, there was no electricity in the entire town. We understand that it's not the hotel's fault, but they did absolutely nothing to accommodate (besides giving us a flashlight) or compensate for spending a lot of hours in extreme heat with no insect repellant, water, anything. They never offered us a discount, not even a free drink or meal. Backing up a few days before we got to the hotel, I attempted to cancel this booking for a personal reason, but the hotel did not allow for me to cancel without charging me full price, which was over $100 USD a night. So fast forward to the afternoon we arrived and there was no electricity. After about 6 hours of no electricity, it came back on at about 9:30 PM local time. At that point, we didn't have dinner and had to walk to a local store for some water (since the hotel didn't offer anything to us). The next day, because the hotel was empty and it seems like we and another family were the only patrons in the entire hotel, they decided to close the kitchen early at 4 PM. Meaning, we had to find dinner on another property. I didn't get an explanation as to why they were closing the restaurant, but they did come and ask us to make sure we didn't want anything else the rest of the day. We weren't expecting that, and find it unfair that since there weren't any other patrons on the hotel property. we had to find meal accommodations somewhere else. Especially after they refused to cancel my reservation in the first place. This hotel came recommended to me, and I find it difficult to understand why. I do think this hotel is overpriced for what it actually is. Even the rooms, you can hear everything outside. The workers were waking us up with their laughs and conversations at 7 am. Not quite fair either to have to wake up really early on vacation. The staff was friendly, but not overly friendly or memorable at all.

    Great location.

Once we arrived, we were informed that we were not allowed to have our own food and beverages, but the kitchen closed early every night to include Christmas (24th & 25th).

The facilities were old. Expensive for what you get. Constant loud music by the pool.

Loved everything! I gave a slightly less than 10 rating based on a couple of rooms had struggling a/c units. But hey, it was HOT.

I was a little annoyed because I was with a large group. The night before we asked to pay our drinks/food tab. We asked to pay for everything consumed the previous three days. The next morning as we were leaving, they approached two of us saying there were two tabs still needing to be paid. They need a better system for this.

Great location and lovely pools. Glad to have air conditioning.

The restaurant food wasn’t as good, not many options for vegetarians. The beds only had a sheet and the rooms could use a chair or something. A little more run-down overall than I expected. But good value for what you pay.

Location was great literally in front of the beach. Rooms were very clean public areas well kept. Menu was small but well prepared.

Menu could have had a few more options being that they are at sea could have had more sea food.

We live in the city and head to the beach whenever we can. This was a long weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was nice and the on-site restaurant has some good dining options (in particular the signature dish). It's also the only hotel in Guatemala we know of with a working pool bar. Prices are amazing.

With this being a long weekend, towards the second half of Sunday the (large) pool was crowded (they offer day access) and started to change its colour. Also, especially then we would have loft a nice private outdoor seating option for our bedroom as everything was so crowded. So I guess we'll be back, but rather during a normal weekend.
