Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRooms are small so I book the larger room types. Furniture and fittings a bit old fashioned and warn. But this is the trade off with location, view and value
Wonderful location on Robinson Road and great views of Central and some of the harbour provided you book the right room type. Staff are very friendly and the hotel feels comfortable. Great value,

AustraliaNice big room with a lounge area so spacious for Hong Kong. Although quite a distance from the centre there was a bus stop right out the front and the mid-level escalators were 5 minutes away. The hotel also offered a free shuttle bus to various locations.

United KingdomBishop Lei is a great location - really central, very close to the Mid Levels escalator which is a brilliant way of getting up and down, and also has amazing restaurants and bars alongside it. It's not the most modern hotel but it's perfectly comfortable and I have stayed there several times.

EstoniaThe elevators. My room was on the top floor and it took forever to get there, especially during breakfast time. Also, breakfast was portioned (not buffet).
Great location, near the Peak Tram and Mid-Levels Escalator. Room was okay - clean and comfy, even if rather small. Water was not provided but there were water dispensers, so bring your own bottle. There is a free shuttle bus to the city centre.

United KingdomJust a bit far from metro station, a bit of a walk (uphill). It doesn't bother me but it is worth noting.
Facilities in the hotel are great. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. It is located in mid-level with nice views of HK Island. Staff were helpful and friendly. There are some nice restaurants near the hotel.

MalaysiaPersonally I smoke and it is a non smoking hotel, so need to go in front of the Hotel where there is a smoking area. A bit inconvenient but it’s ok.
Location is pretty good, easy access to MTR and other facilities such as convenient stores. The rooms were a bit small but overall acceptable and comfortable.

Hong KongThe pool closing every few hours- very inconvenient and not necessary. Also, the restaurant could serve more options and better Chinese food and do room service.
Great location, very comfortable bed and great view from the suite rooms facing the city. Helpful and excellent staff- particularly the concierge area. The men working there were brilliant.

South AfricaThe lifts were very slow, especially if you were on one of the top floors, like us on the 23rd! They were also small, so that when they arrived they were already full and we had to wait for the next lift. Our room was right opposite the lift doors - when people were waiting for or getting out the lift and talking and hauling their luggage, we could hear everything. Woke us up several times in the night.
Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. The lovely gesture of fresh lemon water and delicious almond biscuits available to guests in the foyer. Clean, fresh rooms with everything we needed, and fabulous views. Very conveniently located with a bus stop to the centre right outside the door, and only 5 mins level(ish) walk from the escalator.

RussiaThe building isn't new, when we first time entered the room there was dust in the air and smell of dust was quite strong, but after air conditioners worked all night we didn't notice it anymore.

SlovakiaFor me the shower enclosure was pretty small (but my girlfriend had no problems 😁). Watch out for the buses - if they are full, they won't let you in, so in the rush hour a few busses could pass before you get in.
Relatively large room (comparing to other options in the are with similar price). Very convenient shuttle bus to Hong Kong station and public bus stop right at the hotel entrance. Cold lemon water and cookies in the lobby (but in late afternoon / evening they were no more available 😢). Pretty quiet place with nice botanical garden / zoo just a few meters from hotel.

New Zealandrooms are a little tired and could do with a refresh, the bed was a little too big and had to climb over to get to other side.
Great handy location to walk down to bars and restaurants, super handy to discover escalators to get back up hill, made the hike so much easier.
