How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The towels and beddings had some stains/ holes in them, and pillows are quite flat.
Excellent location, easy access to MTRs and walking distance to main tourist spots in HK Island. Check-in was straight forward and easy. Perfect for a short stay.

Rooms small but you don’t spend much time in them anyway so no issues really.

Hotel reception service was not so friendly, most of the time the night shift reception is sleeping. Rooms are old, no cleaning on a daily basic just replenish towels and clear the trash only. Room are pretty small, bed light one is not working. Bedsheets and towel are old. Some towel we got are with holes. No tooth brush / coffee / tea spoon is provided. Only 2 drinking cups and a kettle. Fridge is not working. not sound proof room. Lift is small and dirty. Outside corridor floor are dirty and sticky. We got to wipe our shoes before stepping in the rooms. Sleeping pillows are flat and bed is very very old. every time you move the bed have a loud sound.
Overall location is good as it is juts 5-8 mins walk to Sheung Wan MRT station. Very good for traveler that prefers to take train then Taxi. Variety of Eatery also walking distance from hotel such as local Chinese food, Japanese, café and fast food. Groceries, pharmacy, 7 eleven are also available for traveler to purchase goods.

Housekeeping was minimal, needed to ask for fresh towels and trash empty multiple times. Staff were kind enough but slow for any requests. Communal areas can be cleaner. You can hear everything from rooms next door. TV didn’t work.
Great location. Comfortable and clean enough for a short stay. Large windows. Spacious communal kitchen and lounge area on 3/F. Twin bed room is good for 1 person but small for 2 people to share. Great shower!

There was construction work and it was not easy to find the reception - some advance notice of how to find it would have been useful. The sound insulation was not terribly good, so other guests returning to their rooms could be clearly heard.
Great location, friendly staff, and very accommodating when I needed to check in early.

The sliding bathroom door can be loud and I can hear other rooms using the sliding door at night with a loud bang. It’s just the design of the door. Nothing they can do about it.
Free laundry. Great reception guy. Electric slide curtain for my room which is pretty cool.

Very small room with very little clothes storage space. The double bed was pushed against a wall so was tricky to access one side.
Lovely staff, great location, late checkout, cleaned daily. Great shower, plenty of hot water. Quiet room in a busy location

The bed was a bit hard and we can feel the springs
We like the location, the staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and quite comfortable. Pillows were very soft. Toiletries and shower are excellent.

Even with the free upgrade the rooms are quite small, though this is expected in Hong Kong
Great location. Friendly staff. Kindly upgraded our room for free. Unlimited sweets! I know some other reviews mention lack of cleanliness or sticky floors but that wasn’t our experience

I would not recommend staying here if you are a couple with few luggages. The bed is placed against the wall and not easy to get in and out. The bathroom is also small. There is also no wardrobe jus an open space to hang clothes.
The hotel and room has a good interior design. The location is great because there are restaurants and just walking distance to Central. The hotel has a popular Mexican restaurant that is great to hang out for drinking and dining. The staff are very friendly.

Showers a bit worn out.
Very practical if you want to move between Hong Hong and West Kowloon - the best is to take the Ferry from the Central Station metro.
