How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the sauna is broken down, and the lights near the sauna were also broken, it may cause accident due to the slippery floor
there are recycle bins inside the hotel, and the janitor are friendly to collect the bottles

Couldnt lend us an adaptor, had to buy No carpeting on hallways Location very far from all sites hence hotel rate is lower than most hotels

Bit dated. Needs some renovation. Currently mainly doing tour groups, so crowded at times.

Hotel is dated, might need a renovation. Lots of tour groups, so can be crowded at times. Price is on the higher side for what you get.
Location is ok. Airport bus stops there. Some shops nearby. Close enough to Shatin Station. From there you can go to Shenzhen or downtown Hong Kong easily. Walkable, but depends on weather. Nice Shing Mun river in the front to have a stroll.

The glass wall of the bathroom. I would prefer the normal wall between the bathroom and the bedroom.

The hotel seems to have been built in the 80's and not renovated since then.
This is a perfectly good hotel, although a bit old. It could use a renovation. If you have a reason to be in Sha Tin it's a very good choice. It has several restaurants in the hotel, is about 20 minutes walk from the Sha Tin MTR as well as a large mall that's on top of the MTR station. We were here to visit friends at the seminary and found the location and overall experience very positive.

Room could cleaner... I had to do some dusting when I first got in.. Might be my expectation of cleanliness is higher.. Rooms had became much smaller than I last stayed 7 years ago but it is adequate for a single person.
Big variety of choices, including fresh fruit is a big bonus for myself personally. Staffs are very good. Tables are very clean. Location of my room was very good, only one room next to mine, pretty quite. Room service ladies are very friendly and helpful.

Dark marks on the bathroom's sealants. Bath room door stopper corroded. Ceiling trim panels need to be fixed. Air-conditioning makes nosies.
Reception and cleaning staff are friendly. .The hotel's location and restaurants are good.

Last week of December is one of the peak seasons in HK, so we have to wait for our turn to check in but I guess it's is normal since there were a lot of guests. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I'll definitely come back.
I like the size of the room. The family room fits four people exactly and considering that we have big luggages. I so love the mountain view, too. Staring outside the window looking at the view of the mountain while drinking my coffee was absolutely perfect 👌. The laundry also came in handy.

Subway was a bit far away. The rooms doesn't have heater in the winter - only fan and air con which was a bit cold for me.
Nice nature and close to shopping mall. Direct bus link to Kowloon - about 30-40 minutes.
