As others have said, it is a little bit of a walk from “town”. If you are fit and don’t mind the adventure, it isn’t an issue but solo female travelers might feel a little cautious walking back in the dark. I never felt unsafe on the island.

The property is set back a bit in nature and is lush and beautiful. Wildlife surrounds you and you truly feel part of nature. But also, there is hot water and AC which makes the experience even better! Milady is such a welcoming host and made my trip more enjoyable. Also, her dogs are so cute!

Amazing spot tucked into a quiet part of the island. Eco-forward amenities and good energy all around! Lots of wildlife, personally I love this. If you are not a lover of all living creatures know that this is a safe haven for them. Milady is an amazing woman and her home is a perfect sanctuary.

Nothing, everything was perfect. the place is a dream. the host was amazing.

The house was huge, super comfortable, lots of windows and a powerful A/C. We had a kitchen completely equipped, a nice big refrigerator, the beds were super comfortable and huge. Lots of closet space. The bathroom was big and nice and had hot shower which is very rare on the island. the porch was a dream, having breakfast in the morning there or beer a beer was the best feeling ever. Seriously, the pictures do not show how amazing the property is. Full of vegetation, and incredible fauna. We had a humminbird sleeping in our front porch every night. Do not be afraid of arachnids. There are a lot on the island but they don't bother you. Now the host, Milady, wow, we consider her part of our family now. My kids call her aunt Milady. She is super friendly and helpful. Follow her rules of respecting the flora and fauna at her property and you have so much fun. For locals, the property is considered far from town. We walked everyday and it was great, we didnt take a single tok tok during our stay. We will definitely come back. It was the best experience ever.

Everything about this location is perfect for those who want to have a quiet and peaceful stay on Utila. Well appointed rooms with AC, fan and a fridge. The bathrooms are large and supplied with toiletries. Everything is meticulously clean and in perfect working order. Milady is the most welcoming and helpful host and her attention to detail is clear from the level of cleanliness and careful layout of the property. She also has an art gallery on the premises which is certainly worth a visit if you appreciate nature inspired artwork. Our original plan was to stay for 3 days but extended our stay twice because we enjoyed the peace and tranquility so much. All in all this is a wonderful place to stay and superb value for money

The curtains let light through and one window had a partial curtain. The dog's barking was a little unnerving at times and woke us up.

Milady was a fantastic host. She told us all about the island, had lots of great tips and made us feel comfortable. Milady created an environment which made us feel like we could ask her for help, no matter what problem we might have and she would not judge us. The bed was comfy, kitchen was well stocked, free drinking water, hot shower, aircon, fan, lovely garden. The location is a short, easy walk away from the main street on the island. A tuktuk ride is 30-40L to the property.

Milady was a wonderful host and her property is beautiful with lots of trees surrounding the rooms and a nice social area with tables and chairs and hammocks to relax. She told us about all the activities you can do in Utila as well as the best places to eat (Mango Tango is really great!) and even has her own art gallery on the property. We had a fantastic few days.

Milady is a wonderful caring and welcoming host and her place is a little paradise. The cabañas are set in a beautiful, peaceful eco garden, a shirt walk from (very) noisy utila town. She made me feel so welcome and gave me great tops and took me to some wonderful spots. I felt I met wonderful friend as well as a host. Loved my stay and thoroughly recommend!

Milady is the most wonderful host with the most wonderful home! She offers more than just a place to stay, wants to help you have the best stay possible in a natural way: gave us a lovely tour of the city on her ATV (for free), and she offered us rides whenever we were heading in the same direction at the same time, loaned us her own snorkeling gear during our stay when we said we were thinking about renting some, helped us out when we had to seek medical attention (non emergency!), and guided us to the best local restaurants as well as the scuba diving center with which be ended up being very satisfied. She even let us use the kitchen of another at that time inhabited room (ours didn’t have a kitchen) when we were ill at no extra cost, because she genuinely wanted us to feel more comfortable in that situation. On top of her incredible generosity her place had a nice setting in nature with a very “untouched” feel (“live and let live” was her Moto) - so we spent a LOT of ours just relaxing in her garden! Nice to see hummingbirds in the garden and once a sleeping bird on a branch during the night. She also has 2 nice dogs. Even though it had a “nature feel” it was only 10 min walk to the center. Would strongly recommend.
