Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesLoved My Stay at Luna Beach I had such a great time staying at Luna Beach Hotel in Roatán. The place itself is beautiful—tucked away, peaceful, right by the water. One of the staff, Zaid, was amazing. Super attentive without ever being overbearing, and just genuinely kind. He remembered little details, checked in at just the right times, and always had a friendly smile. It honestly felt like I had a friend looking out for me the whole time. Every meal I had was better just because he was there making sure everything was perfect. I didn’t get to meet Erick, the hotel manager, but it was clear he exhibits servant leadership—the kind that’s willing to do any job to make the guests’ experience better. You could see his influence all around in how smoothly things ran and how happy the staff were to go the extra mile. The room was clean, comfortable, and just steps from the beach. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and having my morning coffee on the porch surrounded by palm trees. The location is also great—close enough to West End if you want to explore, but far enough to feel like your own private slice of paradise. Would definitely come back.

CanadaThe restaraunt could have more local dishes, pasta and salads.
This was the most comfortable stay I have ever had. The beds are like heaven with the most comfortable linens and pillows. We loved sitting on the front porch looking out over the ocean. Swimming was beautiful. The location is very relaxing but also ideal because you are in between the lively West Bay and West End. A short walk along the beach to West End and a short water taxi to West Bay. The staff is so friendly and exceptional. Israel took good care of us in the restaurant. While Chris was always around to explain things. And Homer took my husband for an unforgettable snorkel trip. Too many to mention.

HondurasAlthough the staff are extremely friendly, they are understaffed. That hinders the service experience, especially on busy months or events at the hotel. I appreciate the hotel is wanting to find their identity within Roatan but if they aim to high they can surely fail. The New Year's event they hosted was subpar.
The place is in a superb location that a walk away from the main bit of West End. It is separate enough to feel that disconnection from the hustle and bustle of West End. The food options are great, and the little coffee shop is outstanding

South AfricaSome more cupboard space for unpacking would have been great and some towel rails. These are small details that I'm sure are being taken care of.
Staying at Luna (and Roatan in general) is more than just the amenities, accommodation, and food. Its a feeling! The staff were incredible, caring, interested and fun. We snorkeled, swam, kayaked, ate amazing food at the restaurant, went walking, did some excursions. But sitting on that beach watching the sunset was just magic. From the owner, Richard, to all of the staff there, they made sure that our stay was memorable and we were made to feel cared for. Its a relaxing place where you can dial up or dial down your adventure...either way it will be a place you keep dreaming of!

United StatesThe mosquitos were a mild annoyance when we sat on the porch, but left us alone when we started using the bug spray.
What an amazing hotel! My wife and I took our two daughters to stay here for five nights on a last-minute trip to Roatan. We were actually a little worried when we booked as the pictures looked too good to be true and there were not any reviews posted on Booking or TripAdvisor. I am very happy to say that our concerns were completely unnecessary. The hotel provided us with a ride from the airport and check-in was very easy. The room was, simply, perfect. Right on the beach, newly remodeled and with the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the gym and horseback riding. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and we were even able to have some great conversations with the owners around the beachside bar. Our daughters had fun swimming steps from our room, we walked into West End every day for fantastic food, and took a short water taxi over to West Bay for snorkeling. Shout out to Juan and Humar for the A+ service, we cannot wait to come back!

United StatesThere was a power outage that caused a slight delay. I believe the checkin process could be smoother even with an outage. There needs to be more hooks to hang clothing to dry and some shelves or dresser for clothes for week long stays.
Beachfront room with king bed. Friendly staff. Easy to get to West End.

United StatesCouldn’t really enjoy deck area because of the sand flies. I never get bitten in Roatan, this time I was bitten several times within the first few minutes we there. They do not have feather free, hyper allergenic option in the rooms.
The beachfront suite we had was nice. The breakfast at the coffee shop were great and portions large.

United StatesThe resort should be clearer that the villas/houses are private residences, and not controlled by the resort. That was an issue when the area lost power and the resort generator didn't apply. Also, the resort should be clearer as to the location of the villas compared to the hotel/beach and the fact that the villas are built into a fairly steep hill. This made walking back to the villa a fairly difficult, uphill climb.
I thought the restaurant was very good and the facilities were nice in general. The staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful.

United StatesRoom did not have any drawers to place clothing, thus I was required to live out of my luggage. No place to store luggage. Wooden structure around the bed looked nice but was a constant source of toe / ankle stubbing.
