Our initial room was close to the main street and traffic noise was loud for us. The resort was very accomodating in moving us to another room.

First time to Utila, the location was great and the property itself was very nice.

- Not a real big issue but the toilet in the Gardenview is leaking a bit. While flushing, water is coming out from underneath. So the bathrooms floor is wet pretty often. We reported that issue to the staff, which immediatly ordered someone to clean&dry the floor. This did not solve the problem with the leak for the upcoming days.

- The Odyssey is a few hundret meters away from the ferry port, so it lays in a quiet and very calm arwa of the island - The owner, Greg, and his team know how to make their guests happy: Very kind and family-alike atmosphere. Never had such a pleasant stay somewhere in the world! - Since it's only a few steps: You're able to jump straight into the crystal clear water after leaving the door. - We got a free upgrade to another room since the initial booked one was not ready when we arrived. - The divecenter (Tank'd Pro Dive Utila) which is in the same building is one of the best 10 SSI centers in the world. The entire team was professional, pretty kind and calm aswell. - The meals and drinks in the restaurant were all good and tasty. Perfect if you want to take a drink after a long diving-day.

There was a really bad smell coming from our bathroom pipes that became quite disturbing. Although the staff tried to get rid of it, it never really disappeared.

The place was amazing. Well situated. Everyone working there was nice, attentive and considerate. They helped us with all the questions we had and the services we needed. The room had everything we could ask for (water, ceiling fan, air purifier, AC, mini fridge, etc). The hotel is great, there's a restaurant, a diving centre, the outdoor spaces are pleasant and you can swim right behind the premises.

Room was not ready for guests. Drinking water was not in the room at first. Some of the towels were beyond their usefull life. When we pointed these’d things out staff remedied them very quickly.

Location at the edge of town was great. Everything was clean. This is a great place for divers

Checkin was supposed to be from 1:00-6:00. I was there at 1:00 and had to wait 30 minutes in the rain until someone showed up, It also took 3 hours and 2 requests to get our fresh water jug replaced. The office staff were very friendly, and the place is very comfortable. Just expect island time.

The room was clean, beds comfortable, AC and road quiet. It was nice to sit on the private porch swing with a cup of tea and a book during the rain. We had an apartment in the central part of town, but it was too noisy from the scooter noise all day and night that one of my daughters and I came to stay here for 2 nights just to get some sleep!

Very low water pressure in the shower but that isn't unusual and tgey were still functional

10 min walk to ferry, 5 mins to Bando beach. Ideal location. George at ob site Tank'd scuba is a great instructor. All the staff are helpful and nice

Some construction going on outside our room but didn't bother us too much!

Above us was a family and I understand it's holidays but letting their children stomp and run around at 6am when they should realize there are others below them was very frustrating. It sounded like a bowling alley was above us.

Would definitely recommend the Odyssey. The staff were so great!!

The Odyssey Resort is a perfect spot to call home in Utila. On the far end of the main drag but quiet and private. You can walk to countless restaurant and one of the best beaches is about 5-8 minute walk. You can dive straight from the property or hang on the dock / deck or go for a swim. The bar/restaurant is perfect place to grab a meal or do some work. The staff are lovely and helpful!! And the rooms are perfectly appointed!
