How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nice quiet space with plenty of room. Easy walk from port with no stairs until you get to the home and then only a few stairs (great for roller bags!). Friendly easy going host. Thank you!

The location was very good. a very welcoming and quiet space 10 minutes walk from the center. the hostess is very friendly and helpful. She let us leave our bags during the day after checking out.

We had a great stay at Apartmani LuNa! Nada, our host, was amazing—she made us feel very welcome and was always there to help us with anything we needed. The apartment was cozy, comfortable, and just a short walk from the city center, so we could easily explore everything on foot. The air conditioning worked well, and the bed was huge and very comfortable. Nada even left us free coffee and candies, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was nice and had a big fridge, which was really handy for storing our food. Overall, Nada’s kindness and the great location of Apartmani LuNa made our stay in Hvar really enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here if you visit Hvar!

Amazing host Nada went above and beyond for us during our stay! Was a lovely apartment for a short stay, with an incredible location just a short 10 minute walk to the main harbour (maybe 15-20 with luggage).

Taxi rides from ship harbor to the apartment was expensive and not really needed if you don't have a lot of luggage. Directions from harbor should prob be included from the host. Overall a nice stay!
The location was about 10-15 min walk to the main city center where all the action is and the walk is lovely with the water on one side and a couple of restaurants and gift stands on the way. There is a good restaurant right next door to the apartment. Host is helpful with suggestions on where to go to eat and short cuts to the town.

Very spacious apartment, variety of cooking appliances, very clean, bedroom has shutters so room was dark and kept cool, check in and out was easy. Good location to beach, 10min walk into main town of Hvar.

The apartment was clean and bigger than we thought it would be, with a large bed and a nice balcony and patio. The location was also pretty good, being a walking distance from the old town and some pretty nice beaches.Nada was a wonderful host, she even offered to clean our laundry although that didn't end up being necessary.

The location was amazing, property was spotless. The host went above and beyond to make us comfortable from giving us cold water, making phone calls on our behalf for our lost luggage and washing our clothes. She really made our stay special

Overall good nothing to mention, bit old place but at the end enjoy and liking it

The property was in a nice location, close to a beach, grocery store and about a 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal and the town. Nada, the host, was so kind to us and answered all of our questions. She provided us with beach towels for use as well!! The apartment has everything you need including an outdoor area where you can sit! We really enjoyed our stay!
