A traditional hotel with friendly staff and large rooms. Situated about 20 minutes walk out of the city centre on a hill the hotel has a good sized outdoor pool and nice pool area. We were given an upgrade to a room with a balcony and sea view.

Not the hotels fault necessarily but walking uphill in 30 degree august heat to reach the place was a challenge to say the least. Had the sensation that the hotel was understaffed - no lunch or dinner being served, dirty glasses etc left poolside and on stairs waiting to be collected. The staff that were there were very helpful and let us use the facilities after our check out while waiting for our flight.

The pool area was a great place to relax in. The rooms were spacious and clean if not a tad faded.

Room was at top floor so was heated a lot by the sun. Aircondition could barely keep it cool during day. Breakfast was ok, but no bacon. Could be more options, but good for small hotell.

Room was spacious and clean. Big comfy bed. Bathroom was big. Very helpful and nice staff! The outdoor area with bar was perfect for an afternoon relax session.

Breakfast had many items that had visibly gone off - rotten grapes and plums, dried out cheeses, sour almond milk, slimy canned corn and whipped cream dessert in glass jar that tasted like soap! This was the day after Assumption - but still not the excuse to serve food that has already gone bad.

Pool is so nice that would not even want to get out. Rooms are large and beds very comfy and also very big.

The main restaurant was closed during our visit, and there were no snacks or light bites available at the pool bar which was disappointing. This necessitated leaving the hotel at the hottest part of the day to find lunch. The walk up the hill returning to the hotel was very steep.

We had the best stay we were upgraded to a room with sea view balcony on arrival staff were friendly and helpful ,- particularly Kristina and Bruno who helped with queries before we arrived, and once we got there - helping with directions, arranging taxis for us and just so friendly. Hotel superb, clean, great outdoor pool, great breakfast choice. Also had massages which were brilliant. Thank you Hotel Cvita - we loved our stay with you! J

There are little steps at the doors into the bedrooms which I did not see, and as I was leaving our room my shoe caught on it and I fell and broke my wrist! A bit out of town so need to be prepared to walk a bit to get to the shops and restaurants
