Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe wifi was hard to connect to, meaning we used mobile phone data quite a bit.
Excellent location, up above Dubrovnik Old Town, with great views over the Town and the sea beyond. Very welcoming hosts, and very welcome aircon! We arrived in Dubrovnik by bus and the bus stop was right outside the apartment which was very convenient. A walk down the steps to the city gate was very easy (168 steps back up though!). If you take the steps out the back of the apartment, you can find a very strenuous walk up to the fortress for panoramic views, great food and a very interesting museum. You can also catch the cable car up from nearby and walk down - which is what we did.

NetherlandsThe owner of the house was super nice and welcoming on arrival she gave us a tour of the apartment and we got fresh fruit and some drinks. We stayed 9 days and there were plenty of towels, there was nice air conditioning and a lovely balcony to sit on. And the location of the apartment was perfect, right outside the walls of the old town. We loved our stay here.

United StatesThe hosts were so kind, friendly and caring! They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I appreciated that they told us where to park, since parking is very tight and expensive in Dubrovnik. The apartment was lovely, had everything we needed, and the best part was probably the balcony overlooking one of the towers (Minceta), old city walls, beautiful Adriatic blue sea and the island of Lokrum! It was easy to get around as everything was few minutes on foot - old town, grocery stores, restaurants, beach. I highly recommend this place and would stay there again!

United KingdomA bit pricey for what it was, but maybe because we left it late to book. For the price, it would have been nice to have some shampoo and body wash to use.
Very close to the old city, just a few minutes walk. Nice balcony with view. Comfortable and clean. Nice friendly hostess.

United KingdomCannot fault this place. Everything was great, including location, hospitality, room, balcony, amenities. Host was lovely and very accommodating, they arranged transport from and to the airport (at an additional cost) but worth it. They were happy for us to leave our bags when we checked out as we had a layer flight. Highly recommend 😊

Poland-
This is the case when the apartments fully correspond to their description. The apartments have air conditioning, everything you need for cooking, different types of lighting, hot water in the bathroom without interruption, a refrigerator with a freezer, TV, a table with chairs on the balcony so you can relax, and ironing facilities were provided to us by the owners. A very cozy place in Dubrovnik, very quiet, without unnecessary noise from other tourists, from the balcony, there is simply an awesome view of the sea, the island of Lokrum, and the walls. We spent every evening there and had breakfast with a gorgeous view. A big plus for us was the kitchen, which is equipped with everything you need to cook your breakfasts and dinners. Also, the presence of two rooms and the ability to split up (since we were on business and could have meetings at the same time). Check-in and check-out went without any problems, everything is clear and fast. The hosts are simply incredible, very nice, friendly, responsive people. Every day, there was an impression that we were in a very soulful, family place.

United KingdomNothing as had seen previous reviews, shower has raised step which needs trip consideration, but plenty of hot water.
Great location for access to old town Pile and Ploce gates. Beware over 200 steps down and back up for Pile gate, easier slightly longer walking option to Ploce gate. Outside balcony with small table and chairs with views, friendly hosts.

Everything about the stay was perfect. Before arriving in Dubrovnik we ordered a taxi from the airport through the owner which was well organized, and we were met without problem. When we were dropped off just outside the property the very friendly owner was already on the kerbside outside waiting to greet us! She even gave us a couple of local beers to welcome us (why can't big hotel chains do this?) and helped us with our luggage. The property is an upper floor flat in the same building in which the owner lives so you have to pass through her home to access the place which makes you feel very welcomed. The flat itself is well-organized, fully-equipped, very clean, modern and relaxing. Despite being really close to the old town you are away from all the people and noise. There is a small supermarket and bakery just up the road and it is a short walk to the airport bus stop, cable car and Pile where most buses go from to access the islands etc. The best part of the flat however is the balcony with its view of the Minceta tower and the famous Dubrovnik Walls. It is a very nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery away from the crowds. Definitely 10/10.

SingaporeThe only thing i didn’t like was the the stairs which made it difficult to bring up the luggage’s in the house but I think this is difficult to avoid. Just note that if you book this place with heavy luggage’s, bringing it up will be a little bit of a workout
The location is really good, a few minutes walk to old town and with a nice patio view. The hosts were also super lovely and very kind!

SwedenThe accommodation was excellent and we loved to stay at Guest House Katic for 10 days. Nice room, kitchen and bathroom. We spent every morning on the balcony for breakfast and in the evening at the sunset. Wonderful view over the old city and sea. There is a supermarket and bakery only 200 meters away. Many stairs if you cross the road directly to Pile port but you can also go along the road to the left, it´s little bit longer but no stairs. It was also easy to use the local bus to get around. The hosts and their hospitality was fantastic. They were so lovely and made us feel like home all the time. It was like visiting our own family.
