How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe owners took great pride in keeping the rooms clean and tidy. They supplied the towels and hair body wash. The breakfast was great, and I highly recommend you add it as part of your stay. Have room to park your car and its a few minutes' walk to the main town.
They need a spot to put your luggage down (remove some side tables)

Verified reviewWe weren't planning on including breakfast, but when we saw the food, we quickly changed our minds! Zora outdid herself. She even made us wonderful coffee and brought it to our table, twice. She was very professional and took the best care of us. We had an issue with the toilet, and it was taken care of in minutes. She extra towels for swimming also. We couldn't have been happier with our experience there.
Nothing was wrong, it was all great. Even the location was perfect, not too close to town, but not far away at all. She even made sure we knew that the weather was changing and to be prepared.

Verified reviewUnfortunately, we only had internet on the terrace. There was no signal at all in our room. And we urgently needed it!

Verified reviewThis hotel is very good value - the rooms are comfortable and a good size.
It was something of a shock to find out we had to pay in cash and a credit card would not be accepted even though we had used one to secure the bookng.

Verified reviewMy stay at the apartment was truly a pleasant experience. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth, as if I were visiting dear friends. The apartment was spotless – clean, tidy, and comfortable, with everything needed for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The surroundings were quiet and calm, which made the feeling of rest and relaxation even stronger. I warmly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, hospitality, and a pleasant atmosphere.
Honestly, there wasn’t a single thing I didn’t enjoy during my stay.

Verified reviewVery clean & comfortable rooms with Aircon & an excellent balcony with a view. Close enough to walk into Cavtat and have our evening meal. We got a comfortable & quiet nights sleep in our rooms.
Parking onsite was a small challenge BUT with the owner able to move other cars (or get other guests to) we were OK for an early morning getaway to the airport.

Verified reviewLocation is fine, it is approx. 30 mins by bus from Dubrovnik, and there is a bus stop (number 10) right at the first intersection upon taking a left from the property. Beautiful views to Dubrovnik via bus. Quaint place, homey, and cozy. I appreciated the flexible and late check-ins.
Traveller beware! Rude and racist owner (Zora). The wifi was not working the first night, which I needed for work. I asked and was given another wifi, which also did not work when I returned to my upstairs room. I went back down but she had gone to bed, so I gave up for that night. The following day, I inquired again. She said she had reset the router, and insisted that we were the only ones with wifi problems (we had three devices that neither wifi worked on). This still did not work. The following morning, as we were checking out, there as a miscommunication due to language barrier regarding payment. A few days after we left Croatia and returned to Canada, Zora emailed me the following: "Such a gueste is Not for hotel but for staying in Korea". We are of Korean nationality but are from Canada. Regardless of where we are from, ethnicity should not be a factor here, especially for a place that I am sure receives tourists from all over the world with different mother tongues. Very disappointed to end off our trip in Croatia with this location. Unless you are comfortable with curt and short staff, do not anticipate much care or asking questions, do not need wifi, or do not care for racism, I would not recommend this place despite the beautiful home and location.

Verified reviewNothing, there is no seaview its 'partial' misleading and very old fashioned way of providing bed and breakfast services. No idea how reviews are so positive. I fell for it but upon visit, very dissapointed.
Overpriced, deceiving customers and overbearing no space

Verified reviewStaying at Zora's is like staying with your Nan. She's got everything in your room and everything downstairs you need for a holiday. It's 5 min walk into the fantastic Cavtat town and the number 10 bus is turn left at the end of the road 100yards up. It's a no frills , traditional, family run hotel. Stayed 5 nights all good.
We choice a room without a balcony but that was our fault.

Verified reviewThe hotel is not a modern one, but very cosy, clean and comfortable. The big advantage is the location- close to the center, restaunants, coast and also close to the airport. The owners are very helpfull and friendly, try to do their best to make your holiday great. Very tasty and varied berakfasts, every morning something else. Totally recommend if you want to get rest in a peace and quiet with a friendly atmosphere.

Verified reviewMy mum and I booked this as a last minute trip after our holiday elsewhere was cancelled, and we will 100% return to stay again. I requested an earlier check in as our flight arrived in Dubrovnik around 10am and this was accommodated with no problems, Zora introduced herself as the host and was extremely warm and welcoming and showed us around her beautiful property. The hotel was very clean and well kept and all staff we came across were so kind, nothing was too much of an ask and Zora was available to answer any queries we had. The facilities in the room were perfect and the bed was extremely comfortable, it was noted when we booked that the rooms were soundproof and we wondered why that would be necessary. Cavtat is very close to Dubrovnik airport, so there are regular flights that fly over the hotel, we did not hear one flight whilst we were in our room it is completely soundproofed as stated. My mum and I will definitely return and stay with Zora again, it felt like a very safe space for us.

Verified reviewThe staff was very friendly and warm and made us felt welcome. Owner spoke german and some english and she was very easy to be with. Owner gave us two room options to choose from which was nice. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Mini fridge was useful for keeping drinks cool. AC was working fine and kept the room cool even though weather outside was very hot +30-37°C (86-98°F). Breakfast was good as there was quality incrediences and food was tasty. There was big assortment of different jams for bread.
Shower floor was looking bit dirty, but rinsing was enough to get it clean so I didn't bothered the staff with it. I like to eat heavier at the morning so I found the assortment of warm food too small.
