Great location, near the bus station, has AC, basic with a small room and very friendly staff.

It has all the basic services. The location is decent. Free towels and the clerk/owner was very kind and helpful. Easy check-in

I paid 48€ for one night for what is basically a sub-par hostel (I've been to countless). Look, I chose it because I had no other option, it was the cheapest place I could book on the same day in the tourist season. I'm sure if I booked in advance it would cost less, but even for 20/25€ please reconsider coming here if you have other options. The whole place felt very cheap, it is small, many bunk beds in one room (therefore very smelly). The building is oldish too. If you've been to many hostels you know this is below average, ESPECIALLY for 48€. But anyway, I'm glad I haven't slept in the car, so thanks to the clerk, I had the minimum I needed and best of luck. Edit - ironic reply by the hostel, make of that what you want. My review is not malicious, it is an honest review meant to help travellers, I don't earn money by being detailed and honest and I'm not the owner of the nearby hostel... It's not them to set the final price - may be, who cares? I judge the value for money I got for 48€ (specifying it's high season same day) not their moral integrity which I don't doubt. Same for the old building and small rooms - ok, not their fault, but I report this to fellow travelers. Who cares if they own it or not? I didn't say they don't clean them I say it's small and, if you can, look around. They tell me not to book through the app - where then? No site or number They write I have a shared room and not a private one - why mentioning that, it was clear from my review. There are hostels with dorms and way more space for cheaper, I review what I see... The hostel is central and tidy, fair, but still sub-par and still very small. They imply I have hotel standards, that's a way to handle remarks you don't like which I don't share, since you dismiss them. Anyway. My 2/3 cents, good luck!

The host was very friendly and accommodating. The location was very convenient also for Rijeka

Room was very clean and tidy, Mr Bozidar was excellent host, very professional and nice polite man. Location is great in the centre of the city, near to railway and bus station. Generally apartment was satisfacting.👍 Warm reccommendations.

A bit small and pricy

We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom and a balcony — cozy, clean, and pleasant. The little balcony totally stole our hearts. An air conditioner in the room - its absolute magic! The hostel is near the train and bus stations. Check-in starts at 5:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. The host is the soul of the place — kind, attentive, and clearly puts a lot of effort into making guests feel welcome. That really shows. For security, the entrance to the hostel is locked and accessible only with a key — a thoughtful detail that made us feel safe. We got lucky — it was quiet and peaceful during our stay, though that likely depends on your neighbors. Overall, this place really exceeded our expectations. For a hostel, it’s very impressive — clean, cozy, well-run.

the bed corners Maybe we just weren’t careful enough, but we bumping into the corners of the bed. That thing’s a stealthy ninja) be warned!

Host was lovely, rooms were small but comfortable, beds comfortable, bathroom was nice, kitchen was great, big fridge, good stove, lots of plates ect and clean Look location, very easy walk into city and library gardens right outside- nice landscaping and seats with some cool bars/ cafes nearby

Excellent location, comfortable bed, loved sitting on the balcony of our room. The common kitchen area was always super clean, the staff very friendly, and other guests were quiet and courteous to each other. Some reviews complain about the 5 pm check-in time, but it's not a big deal because you can store your bag in a locker at the train station for €2 until then and walk around and explore in the meantime. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I liked the level of hospitality. The host gave me advice on what to see in the city.

The price could be cheaper but Croatia is generally expensive when it comes to accomodation.

Tiny room for the price. The bathroom is smaller and has a weird, unpleasant smell (possibly of urine) all the time. There are no toiletries (at least an all-purpose body wash) If you are coming here for the first time and want to stay closer to the beach, I would not recommend this place. The nearest beach is a 20-minute bus ride.

Bozidan is such a good host and my room was perfect!

Hostel Kvarner really exceeded all my expectations. Being naturally a bit skeptical after reading all reviews good and bad I didn't know what to expect. When I got at check in I met a very nice enthusiastic friendly owner working hard to make his guests feel like they were at home. In general the owner was very friendly and attentive all the time I was there not just with me but also with the rest of the guests. I spent a lot of time at the Hostel since I had a work assignment in Rijeka and had to be rested for my task. The Hostel itself was very clean. You can see right away that they put special emphasis on cleanliness and spend hours cleaning it daily. The Kitchen was pristine. Fully functionable and equipped with all needed cooking utensils. I cooked a few meals there. Was a joy using it. The dorm was great too. The bathroom and shower in the dorm were pristine clean too just like the dorm itself at all times. I really could not find anything wrong with it. The other guests were also really nice. I was the last to check in that day and only one top bunk was available I would have preferred the bottom one but nevertheless I slept great. The mattrace was very comfortable I got a lot of good rest there. The Lockers aswell were good the only thing that would have been better is if they were a bit larger to fit all my stuff. Aside from that everything else was excellent. I will come back here next time with my family when I am in Rijeka again. BOOK HERE with confidence you WON'T REGRET IT! Hvala Puno na svemu!

Nothing really everything was great. The Lockers could have been a little larger but that's about it.

Very friendly staff, close to train station, walkable distance from the centre. I booked a private room, which was totally ok for what i paid.

Some minor issues with the room but it was ok according to the price. You hear every sound on the floor, especially if people are socializing in the common areas it can get real loud in the room.
