Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

An amazing location and a rare (for Split) balcony. So central - ideally positioned between the beach and Riva. We walked everywhere with ease. Being right by the port, day trips to Hvar & Brac were so easy! Amazing view sitting watching the sun set as the port buzzed with ships, ferries & boats. Hustle & Bustle all around, but quiet at night - slept soundly, aided by the excellent aircon. Host lovely too. We would stay again no hesitation.

United StatesJust FYI - the payment was due outside the booking’s platform.
We love the location of the place, very close to the old town and lovely beach for swimming. The views were amazing and parking was no issue as the owner provided us the parking spot behind the apartment. I’m especially pleased with the fast internet which allowed me to do some remote work.

AustraliaOutside of the building looks run down but certainly not the case with the apartment.
Large apartment, good air conditioning, nice view of the harbour. Also close to the old town and central bus station.

United KingdomIt's obviously all down to personal taste, but I'd say it didn't really have great a view. It overlooks the harbour where all the boats are moored, but with a railway line and bit of wasteland between. The balcony is also very tiny!
It's a really nice apartment, small but with everything you need. Large comfy bed. Easy walk into town but far enough away from the noisy parts!

United StatesLike its name says, the Stunning View Apartment really does have a stunning view! We never got tired of watching the ferries and other boats come and go, day or night. Outside, it's a classic Yugoslav-era concrete block, but inside, it's a beautiful modern apartment, with everything you need. Markets, bakeries, and (great) restaurants are all nearby, and it's just a short walk to Diocletian's Palace and the old city. Parking for apartment residents is first-come-first-serve, but we always found a spot for our rental car. And Vina, our host, was wonderful: super-responsive, explained everything well, and had good ideas for places to explore.

United Statesno real dislikes but person in apartment below smoked outside a lot.
The view was amazing, the location was central but not in a touristy area, great restaurants and services near by, strong WiFi, a clean efficient washer, very comfortable bed and had an elevator !! positive suggestion - add bar stools so you can admire the view all the time

Ukraine1.Very noisy 2. Awful beds 3. The administrator added 25 euros to the price of the apartment for nothing and started a real telephone terror until I paid for it. 4. In front of the apartment there is a railway station and a ferry crossing, the constant sound of diesel engines and the smell of fuel

FinlandThere was a lot of dark hair everywhere and if we ate it got into our food. I'm not sure if it came from the thick rug, but it just spread everywhere. The location of the apartment was close to the harbour and old town which was nice, but otherwise the location was poor. The surrounding area of the building seemed shady and dirty. The apartment building was covered in graffiti and seemed to be in a very poor condition. During the night there were people yelling outside for a long time, the area seemed dangerous and it was scary to go to sleep in the apartment. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything from the other apartments, which made spending time in the apartment quite uncomfortable.
The apartment from the inside was nice looking, mostly clean and the view was great. The lady who rented the apartment was super nice.
