How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThis is really one of those hotels that simply wows you! From the friendly staff, beautiful rooms, and great spa... and the breakfast! That is something so delicious, wonderful, everything your heart desires! If you're there, don't forget to try the Pastrami sandwich! And one more thing - it's one of the rare hotels that offers several types of salads for breakfast! Phenomenal!
It would be very difficult for me to find something that didn't suit me. Maybe just that I'm not entirely sure if the children in the hotel were older than 12 years old. Some seemed younger to me, but I'm sure the staff at the reception desk checked all of that beforehand.

The interiors are thoughtfully curated—warm woods, refined textures, and artful lighting that makes every corner feel special. It’s elegant without being stuffy. Room: Immaculate, spacious, and cleverly laid out. The bed is heavenly (pillows included!), soundproofing is excellent, and the small touches—quality coffee, plush robes, great water pressure—show real attention to detail. Restaurant & Food: Outstanding. Breakfast is generous and high quality, with lots of local flavors. Dinner was even better: balanced, seasonal dishes that look beautiful and taste even better. Compliments to the chef and the attentive team. Spa & Wellness: Serene, spotless, and professionally run. The thermal area is relaxing and the massage was one of the best I’ve had—no rushed feeling, just calm, skilled care. Service: Warm, genuine, and proactive. From check-in to check-out, the staff struck the perfect balance of friendly and discreet. Great local recommendations, too. Cleanliness: Flawless throughout the property. Value: For the design, service, and location, it’s excellent value. Verified reviewFrom the moment we arrived at The Isolano, we felt an immediate sense of ease and relaxation — the kind of atmosphere where every detail is managed so thoughtfully that you can truly switch off and enjoy. The staff’s attentiveness was outstanding, going above and beyond to reduce any “guest effort” and make every interaction smooth and pleasant. A special thanks to Sarah, whose recommendations were always spot-on and added real value to our stay. We also loved the social drink with the General Manager and other guests — a warm, convivial touch that made us feel even more welcome. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this hotel. Our dinner at The Moise was nothing short of extraordinary. A fine-dining experience that was contemporary and experimental, yet deeply rooted in the island’s heritage. The use of exceptional quality produce, sourced locally and prepared with bold creativity, resulted in dishes that were both innovative and emotionally connected to the territory. The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the dishes, and the flawless guest experience were all at a Michelin-star level. The young and passionate team truly impressed us, with a sous-chef whose talent and dedication shine through in every plate. The wine pairing is a must — perfectly curated to elevate each course to new heights. Simply unforgettable, and an experience I would recommend to any food lover visiting Cres.
No downsides at all, but one suggestion: promote The Moise even more — it’s a true hidden gem worth discovering

The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the beautiful town if Cres and enjoy peaceful walks along the coast. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure every detail was taken care of — you can truly feel the passion and care that goes into running this place. Verified reviewThe hotel was very nice as was the swimming pool/beach/spa/gym. The service in the hotel was very good, and the people were nice. Our room felt very spacious and it was kept clean. It is very quiet and peaceful. It was a very easy walk into the marina area of the town from the hotel.
We ate twice in the restaurant, and the food was good but not excellent. As a result we felt the restaurant was expensive as we didn't find that the quality of food met the price. When we were leaving we asked the front desk to arrange a taxi for us, and it was quite disappointing that the driver then went on to completely rob us by charging us an outrageous fee to drive a relatively short distance. I would hope that at a hotel of that quality that they would find not put their visitors in such positions, and find more honest people when organising a ride for them.

The staff was super helpful every step of the way, always making sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the spa, which was super nice.
