Tiha and Chris, our hosts, are excellent, friendly, helpful The kitchen is super well equipped Enough bathrooms Loads of lounging places, pool table, chess, inside, outside seating Right next to a supermarket Short walk to the beach About 20 minutes walk to old town, but the area Lazy Monkey is in is much calmer and 'Croatian' than old town. The walk there, through the tiny streets, is delightful though Close to the central bus station Genuinely nothing bad to say

Oh maybe a small one. Locker wasn't big enough for a large backpack, but they're large enough to store anything else really

This hostel is absolutely everything a hostel should be. Chris,Tiha and their team have it spot-on perfect. It's a super clean, lovely and safe environment to stay when exploring real Croatia. It has a informal friendly vibe and the outside terrace and gardens are a great places to relax and socialise. The kitchen excellent and it's easy to make any meal. Mark your stuff with the pens provided and there's ample fridge space. But come on guys....how hard is it to wash up afterwards? The Fridge Fairy ( your mum!) is not going to fly over and do it for you!!! It's a 10 minute easy walk from the bus station. 5 euros. I hired a bike to explore the old town and go on the ferry to the islands. You'll really love this hostel... it's the best! You'd be mad to stay anywhere else!!!!

There's nothing to complain about in this hostel. Even the beer at the bar is inexpensive!

Convenient location short walk from the bus station. In a quiet residential area about 25 minute walk from the Old Town. Nice space for relaxation outside the dorm rooms. Shared kitchen very useful. Everything was kept clean and tidy. Reception helpful with activity ideas and practical details.

Earplugs essential to sleep with 8 in a room. Bring your own towel and locker padlock or you can rent them

I enjoyed everything about this hostel, the staff are incredible, they listen and are so kind, I thank the hostel enormously for this moment, it's so clean and everything is well laid out from the comfort of the beds to the space in the rooms, you'll meet some great people, there's a pool table and board games and so on, I'll be back next year with my eyes closed, see you soon, many thanks to the owners. Tout était parfait

The hostel is close to the beach, the staff are super friendly and all other guests are just chill The city center is actually easily reachable, one can walk for like half an hour along the coastal park road to get there, or by bus or even take a bike in the hostel Also because the hostel is in the residential area, loud partying and noise is forbidden after 10:30pm which was to my liking. The WiFi is there on the terrace as well as in the rooms The facilities are being cleaned daily I felt safe and comfortable there as a solo female traveler, my stay there was amazing 🤍

I loved that as soon as I arrived I felt like I was at home. Tia and Chris have created such a relaxed, peaceful vibe at their hostel. Chris showed me around as soon as I arrived so I knew where everything was and didn’t need to ask. The lounge area was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the rooms were set up really well with cosy beds. Tia was incredibly kind and accomodating the entire time, she had excellent suggestions on places to eat and visit. We had some wonderful chats which I really enjoyed.

Its a good hostel, how a hostel should be. Very social but chill and laid back vibes. The owners and staff are lovely, so helpfull and kind. The location is right at the beach and city. Free parking on premises which was amazing. Big very well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy. Beds were comfy. Electricity, a little shelf and locker at your bed. There are games free to use, a pool table, books etc. A lot of comfy places to sit inside and outside. Bikes to use. Felt very safe. I vibed well with the other guests. Enough showers, toilets and sinks. Never had to wait. The owners know what theyre doing as theyre travelers themselfs and I love that

Nothing just the personal issue of being a light sleeper which doesnt go hand in hand with hostels in general so didnt get much sleep

The Lazy Monkey is a perfect cosy spot for young travellers, with a fantastic staff and great vibe ! The apartment we had was clean, well designed and well equipped. Would definitely return here soon!

A bit expensive

Location is great and people are there amazing! They all super cute and helpfull! So close to bust station so you can basically wake up and go some island with bus and its like 10min walk! Also airport buses are there so quite easy to get anywhere. I booked mixed dorm but they gave me female room which so sweet! Thanks! and would definitely recommend 10/10

So far the best hostel that I've been to! Nothing special, but there's everything that you need. Stuff is very friendly and always ready to help. Location is near to central bus station and beaches

Rather far to the old city - about 40 minutes to walk Adding a closet in the room would help a lot

Nice location close to the bus station, a supermarket and the beach, though further from the old town. The hostel had a really nice atmosphere but was also calm and quiet after 10 or 11pm. The kitchen was great. My friend was stung by a sea urchin and the owners were very helpful. Comfy beds.

It would be nice if there was an extra bathroom as there were many people sharing just a few bathrooms. Laundry cost €10 per load.

Amazing place with friendly staff and very easy to make friends. A lot of young people. There’s a big common area where people can relax, a kitchen, a bar. Also free coffee during the morning. Room with A/C helped a lot in summer.

30 minutes walking from the old town, not that close :( But is just 10 min from the Bus Station and from the Beach :)

Very warm welcoming vibe to the whole place. Only stopped here for one night but wished I had stopped for longer. Embodies the hostel/traveller vibe very very well, great place to stay - would highly recommend

No dislikes, perfect accomodation

This is the top 2 hostels I've ever stayed in. The owner is a super nice and funny lady, very helpful and kind. The girls that work there are also very approachable. The hostel has everything you need and I loved the hammocks in the garden. If you are in doubt, just book it!

The staff here were lovely and very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and well equipped. We only stayed one night after a late flight and this was perfect.

Very friendly and sociable, there’s always big personalities around, and I felt like I could find new friends really easily; everyone is super chill and easy going. Honestly waaaaay better than “party hostels” I’ve stayed at before. Tia, Chris, Nina, and all the volunteers really bring the place to life!
