Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaParking for guests would be amazing, but the paid public parking is really close.
This is our second stay here and we are again extremely happy! The staff is super helpful and kind, they were even able to accommodate us with vegan breakfast! I didn't care for the room much at the time of booking, so I selected what was available, and boy we were surprised when we discovered our room had a private terrace overlooking the park! We spent so much time out there, just soaking up the good vibes of the park. Loving it here, thank you so much 💜.

SpainOn a Sunday, they stop serving at 8 p.m. Also, it’s a bit of a walk to the city centre, although it’s a pleasant walk through the park.
It was different, the reason we booked it. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Price was very reasonable, considering breakfast was included. Breakfast was also more than sufficient with ample choice.

EstoniaI myself am a real estate manager and I am often critical about it. Everything on this object is functional and everything has been thought out and tested. Access system - very good, sanitary equipment - in working order, lighting - appropriate. I can't point out anything bad.
Best located hotel in Eger. The location in the park adds a lot of extra points. Breakfast had a sufficient selection. Didn't miss anything. The staff is extremely conscientious and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. The entire interior and every detail has been carefully finished by the owners and the designer.

GermanyHungarian Csarda in style of a Knight's Inn. Located in the former Archbishop park of Eger, parking is a few meters from this property. The property is styled as a mediaeval Inn, down to earthenware / wooden tableware (mandatory - though nice pieces). The posed fotos depict the property correctly. Room exceeded expectations (was staying in the dragons room), breakfast buffet was plentiful. Site is developed towards travellers interested in history, though families with children will also have fun here (courtyard has a playground including a pillory for nice kids). Recommended for family / small group travellers.

SlovakiaThis hotel was very cool. Our room looked amazing, and the staff were very friendly. The details in the decor for the various themed areas were awesome. The restaurant was great with huge portions and breakfast was enjoyable. We wish we could have stayed more nights. We will be returning for sure.

United KingdomIt was a late booking as travelling on a road trip through Europe, then suddenly I found this place and although we were late arriving due to road closures and getting lost, they were super welcoming. The food and design was truly breathtaking. My partner is a chef and he absolutely loved it. A must see if you are into your medieval stuff or fantasy stuff. 100% recommend.

SpainOk, just because I am asked to, not because it was a real issue, but the air conditioning was a bit weak and the room was a bit hot during the night
The hotel in itself is amazing, a great attention for the details. We had dinner there, and the menu was funny and tasteful (my kids were amazed). And the location is great.

United KingdomNothing to complain about
First of all we loved the staff- a very helpful and dedicated team who always smiles and is willing to help. We arrived to the hotel earlier than was our check-in time, so we sat down to have a lunch (which was immaculate) and then we left our bags there and went to the town. The decorations in the whole building are so well thought through, they've done a great job! Comfy beds, clean bathroom, aircon, complimentary tea/coffee, awesome food and surrounded by a lovely park. The town center is within a 10 min walk and the lido is right across the park. We loved our time here and are definitely coming back!

CanadaThe ceiling in the room is low in parts (but the room itself is big), and the shower floor was clearly meant to look "pebbly"; while nice looking, the shower floor was a bit hard on the feet. And the room was a bit dark. But those are minor concerns if you're staying for the dragons.
If you stay here, you're clearly going for the decor: dragons, the Hobbit, Harry Potter, etc., making it a unique experience. I was very pleased that the room was air conditioned, since it was 30+C and 100% humidity outside during my stay in Eger.

AustraliaTurned up around 13.30 to find the place completely deserted, absolutely nobody around, the place looked abandoned, We thought it had closed down, we looked through the windows, everything was dark. Turned out the place doesn't open until 16.00. I reckon this place was built by someone as a passion project and then sold onto someone who doesn't share that passion and so the place is going downhill. The restaurant is good and it is quiet. Parking can be had free across the park near where pedal carts are rented, otherwise you'll pay plenty. The beds were memory foam, therefore an uncomfortable sleep
Beautiful location in the middle of a park very near the old city
