It's far the best place I've stayed at during this trip. I found it so hard to part with the balcony!!! Such spectacular view and vibe <3 This guesthouse is perfect to take some rest if you've been traveling for a while, like myself. Do make sure you spend at least a day at leisure there, it's really worth it!! My room was super nice and comfortable, had lots of space to work with my computer, and then Nora, the host, is just so nice and attentive!! She has coffee ready when you wake up and her English is very good so it is very easy to have interesting conversations. Eger is beautiful per se, but I assure you it's much nicer if you go back to this lovely house at the end of your long day and digest your experiences while sitting in that balcony, breathing fresh air and contemplating the town from there. Thank you very very much!! Gracias totales! :)

    Everything was good.

I like the quietness and the balcony. Nice landscape. I came to Eger to relax after spending 4 weeks in big cities and it was perfectly slow pace and restful during my stay. I enjoyed the host's morning coffee. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Its a nice uphill hike from the old town but that is good exercise.

The shower curtain, but that was all.

I had a lovely time! The house is outside of the center of Eger, and therefore very quiet and relaxing. At night all you hear is the crickets. Lovely garden, view and cats. Its a short walk into town, and there's an hiking path going the other way so super easy to go into the hills. The room was very clean and spacious. I felt very welcome and will go back if I'm ever in Eger again!

I liked everything! The only thing for me is that at home I sleep on a really soft bed and this one was more firm, but I still had a wonderful sleep here so no worries.

Nora the owner was amazing! She allowed me to pay with the cash I had and she gave me a map of her city and highlighted places I should see. She also gave me books to look at of sights to see in Hungary. My room was adorable, I was in the family section upstairs in the attic. I had my own bathroom a couch and a TV with internet access to YouTube. Nora showed me how to use the TV which was nice. The room had a mini split heater so I was able to make the room warm and comfortable. There were also two skylights on either side and you could see the lights of the city of Eger. It was beautiful! There were also four resident cats and I always love when a place I stay has cats so I can pet them. I ended up purchasing a huge wool blanket in town and I asked Nora where I could go to find something to wrap it up. She went downstairs and came back with a plastic bag that was the perfect size to put my blanket in and made it easy to carry. Nora let me have the plastic bag free of charge. She said it was a gift. I was so thankful as it helped me out a lot and protected my blanket and made it easy to carry. I stayed for four days and during my stay Nora made some fresh Hungarian bread and she let me have some. It was amazing! I had a lovely time staying here. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen area was so cute with the fireplace. It was such a nice place. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again if I ever come back to Eger. I also asked Nora if I could have a towel to use at the spa and she gave me an extra towel to use. Nora was an amazing host, willing to help in any way she could. She made my stay in Eger and at her place very enjoyable and now I have fond memories of my stay! I cannot recommend this place enough it was the BEST! Thank you Nora for your kind hospitality!

    Nothing, everything was great

    - Great location, very close to the center of town. About a 5-10 minute walk. Yes there is a little hill but there are steps if you wish to use them (only about 70 steps in total). I don't understand why people complain about them. - Nora and her son were so friendly and helpful. Lots of great suggestions for the area - The bed was comfortable - The view was great from the kitchen area - Great to get some cat cuddles. - Easy to park

This was amazing and the best accommodation of my whole trip. Nora and her family are sooo kind, everything was sparkling clean, the kitchen was huge and comfortable, the bedroom equally large and comfy and they even had German TV! Nora speaks perfect English and husband and son speak perfect German. You can get your laundry done and have a nice view over Eger. Too bad I could only stay 2 nights. Should I ever be back in Eger, I’ll definitely book this accommodation again!

Everything. Nora was an amazing host, she made very tasty coffee, and came to ask if everything was good every morning. She suggested very nice places to visit in addition to our route. The place is in a good location, nice view, close to the old town. It's really nice that there is a fully equipped kitchen.

    - The bed was a bit firmer than I'd have liked, but that's personal preference. Also, I'm about 194 cm tall; the double bed is a bit short, but because it's a double bed, and I was alone, sleeping diagonally solved that problem. - The pillow was rather too soft for my taste. - If you're tall, be careful in the large room due to the sloping roof and the ceiling beams. - The toilet door closes securely and has a frosted glass window, but has no lock. If not traveling alone, make sure you come to some sort of agreement to avoid walking in while someone else is using it. - Quite a trek from the train station, especially with luggage. Of course, you could order a taxi, and the hosts are happy to help you with that, but even if you're insane like me and choose to walk all the way, at least you only need to do it twice (or have a moment of clarity the second time and order a taxi). - This is no fault of the hotel, but on the last night of my stay, some party or something was going on somewhere outside of the hotel, and it was very audible with the windows open (and even a bit with the windows closed). However, every other night was nice and quiet, and you could hear little other than crickets.

    - Very cheap for what you get. - Large, well-equipped common kitchen with a washing machine and a balcony area. - The view from the balcony is very beautiful. - Hosts are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They gave me lots of useful advice and went out of their way to make me feel welcome there. - Cats. - Rooms have air conditioning. - Free wifi, and the speed is actually quite good. - I ordered a smaller room, but the room I got was their biggest room (perhaps because it was the only one available, there aren't that many rooms here). - The room has several power outlets. - Cats. - Located in a (usually) quiet, beautiful area. - Quite a few interesting things throughout the building, including a fully functioning traditional bread oven in the kitchen. - I enjoyed the overall aesthetic of the building. - Among other things, you get a towel, sheet, pillow, and blanket. - 🐱🐈🐾 - Each room has a private toilet and shower that function well. - The windows in the large room are fairly large, and there is one on the slanted roof right above the double bed that can be swung open. I personally liked sleeping right under the window, but if you don't, each window has a built-in black-out blind. - It seems that more accessible rooms are available. The big room requires you to climb stairs to get to the door and then climb some more stairs inside the room, but from what I can tell, there is a room on the same level as the kitchen that doesn't require any stair climbing. Overall, I highly recommend this place. If I'm ever in Eger again, I will be sure to try to book this place again.
