there is some guy there who is ruining the hostel. dont know if he is a long term guest or somehow connected to staff but he walks around throughout the night and makes noise with his phone,they need to get rif of him for this hostel to be a viable option

The room did not have electric sockets and extensions were not working properly which made it hard for us to charge our devices. One of our beds was dipping in the middle as the wood was broken there. One of the showers was leaking and it created a pool of water on the floor which became messy soon after. The staff on-site was rude with us, especially about the checkout time and city tax. The city tax we had to pay was higher than the one stated on the booking page (instead of paying HUF 2500, we paid HUF 3000) as the staff didn't understand us well. They also woke us up 2 hours before our checkout time and said that the checkout time was 10 am, even though, our booking said the checkout was at 12. There were also no lockers available separately for each room and the common ones were already filled, so we had to keep our valuables with us all the time (a hassle when you are on vacation). All in all, I would say this place was not good value for money.

To enter the facility, there is a lock box to the right of the door, and the guest needs the code to open it. The owner needs to send it to you. There are people staying in the same building, who may use the bathroom, even consume some food in the fridge which belongs to the hostel guest ( personal experience). The renovated shower leaks water, it becomes a mess after use. Some kitchenware is missing. One needs matches to light the stove. The oven is not available. The door at the hostel floor does not lock: there could be a security issue.

Very good location. Good price. Free towel, a kitchen with stove and microwave, and a patio are available. Dorm room has adequate space. I saw the owner once during a 12 night stay. A local lady tries to keep the area clean.

it's unclean, the atmosphere is weird, there were mainly men. If you are looking for the entrance (bc there are no signs): There is a doorbell at the big door on the right side of the kebab shop. Or just call the number

Nowhere on the street was a sign for a hostel. it was under another name. We tried a calling a phone number, but no one was answering! We were lucky that someone was just getting in! Many people in the room and no air condition!

I had a place to stay for a night. Decent location. Facilities were ok. We got towels!

Only a little misleading at checkin, once I find her, she helps to arrange everything in order.

Don’t understand why it has such low rates. With this room rate to stay at city centre, everything is good. The place, bathroom is clean. The lady is helpful to clear space at fridge for me. And help at cooking. She’s very nice even she don’t speaks English but using the translate to communicate, ensure everything alright.

One of my friends had no pillow, there were no locker boxes, and some of the other guests were going through my friend's belongings. The bathroom was both an oven and a swimming pool. Only one person could shower with warm water. There were less beds than expected, only one person was speaking English.

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. Even though we arrived before the check-in time ended, they told us that our room was no longer available. We had already paid and booked through Booking.com, yet there was no room for us. Eventually, they removed the people who had been given our room and gave it back to us, but the sheets and pillows were dirty, and the bathroom was not clean at all. Would not recommend this place at all.

The place wasn’t clean, I found bed bugs in the room, the bed sheets were dirty, we were supposed to be in a room for 6 people and they allocated 8 people in the room. The communication in English is not sufficient. The hostel was overbooked, there were just 3 toilets and 1 shower, they were always dirty and flooded. We didn’t feel secure.

The location is good, the price is cheap but doesn’t worth it. We had so many bad experiences.

It looked like they weren't really prepared for me to arrive - the room wasn't ready, there was no one at the "reception". The bathroom and kitchen were relatively tidy, but really unclean. One cleaning lady (at least that's what I think she was) spoke only Hungarian and seemed very angry every time she started explaining something.

Most of the staff was really kind if they were there.

A very strange system of booking, paying and for the checkin. Finally it was OK!

Perfect location, in the old city of Pecs. Big rooms, 6 or 8 beds. No AC. Good big bathrooms. No lounge but big kitchen (not enough facilities for cooking). I paid 12,75 euro/night/pers. It was almost empty.

The place was not clean, especially the bathroom. There was a bucket with dirty water standing in the bathroom within our whole stay and there was e.g. hair on the floor, in the shower and sink. At our stay of two nights we didn't see any of the administrative staff of the place once. There could be some more cozy light and another place to hang out other then the terrace. The whole atmosphere was kind of weird rather then welcoming. Not recommended. We had to stay there since the other place we wanted to stay wasn't existing anymore.

There was a very friendly local lady that was trying to keep the place clean as well as a guy (not employed by the hostel) that helped us to check in. Both were very nice.

The shower leaked the first night but the maintenance person fixed it right away so it wasn't a problem the rest of my stay.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and rooms, great value for money.
