How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewGood location
Staff didn’t clean up the grounds very often, (litter around the place)The pool was unusable due to being unclean (green with a greasy film on top). there was no apparent access to a bar or food during the day or evening

Verified reviewThis is a good place to stay for a weekend but not more, in my opinion. The garden is extremely lovely, the pool was nice and warm, there is some shade and a small playground so it's a good place for children too. Our son loved the kangaroos and the horses.
Even if our stay was overall ok, there are a few things that bugged us. The place is very short-staffed, plus they don't know English at all so we had to use Google Translate or pointing/signing about stuff. The breakfast is not very varied, just some basic options and gets supplemented very slowly. We arrived in the breakfast room at 8.30 and there was barely anything to eat (on a Saturday morning) and by 9 they were already cleaning everything out even though service should be until 10. There was a large group staying there and on Friday evening they had a party and they took the chairs from our terrace, without asking. We got 2 out of 4 back but had to ask for them. There are also not enough chairs and sun beds around the pool, just 4 sunbeds for the whole place and I believe they have more than 10 rooms so if they are at capacity, it would be super crowded. Also, regarding our apartment, be careful when you choose it because it is very hard to air out since there is only one window and one roof window so it gets really stuffy. Plus it says it has air conditioning but there is only one small machine that runs on water or ice, so it's basically a fan. It's cheap indeed but the furniture and everything in the kitchen is old or damaged, so you kind of have to look away. I don't think we'll come back soon.

Verified reviewThe staff were helpful even though there was a language barrier. The air cond was good.
The room was weird, the bed was half blocked by a low ceiling (like a stair case above your head)? The shower and toilet had no privacy (clear glass doors)? There was a blind but it didn’t work. There was no coffee or tea facilities with a jug to make a coffee/tea in your room. Had a bar fridge that only had one can of lemonade and 2 little bottles of spirits. There was no soap or shampoo in the shower? Although she allowed us for a late checkout, we were grateful as we arrived close to midnight, however we didn’t use it in the end due to the unsatisfactory condition of the room. They charged us too much at checkout which they said the extra charge was for our cat. I said I was not told prior and that there was no damage or soil from our cat. We had his litter box. They then did not charge us the extra amount. We ate breakfast about 8.30am. The hot or was not topped up (little bit of cooked sausages and eggs) bees were in the covered cold meats, cheese and vege platters. I asked for a fresh plate which the chef gave a couple of slices of cheese and cold meat. Overall over priced for accommodation and paying extra for breakfast. Not a place I would recommend or stay again.

Verified reviewI booked several rooms for our international friends who were attending our nearby wedding. Unfortunately, the reception staff proved to be incompetent. Without any prior notice, we discovered upon arrival that this 3-star hotel does not provide shower gel or shampoo in the room. These must be purchased at the reception for an unreasonably high price.

Verified reviewThe kengurus were nice. Modern place with good vibe. Good restaurant.
The bathroom had a glass wall inside the bedroom. It was uncomfortable to use the toilet because of that. No mention prior to arrival. The bedroom was soaked after having a shower. There were only one chair in the room.

Verified reviewThe room was clean and the bathroom had plenty of soap and shower gel. There are actually small kangaroos cared for, which seemed like a family.
No heating available. Although I booked the superior room, it was very small, and barely left room to cross between the two beds and the wall to reach the bathroom. The outdoor swimming pool was not open yet.

Verified reviewLocation, quiet place.
Well, I really recommend to consider having English language as minimal basic conversation! Everything is written in Hungarian…not tourist friendly at all! Was so difficult to interact with the staff. When you list your place on Booking and address to foreign tourists it is expected to interact with them! From this point of view I did not felt comfortable, despite the fact that the staff tried to communicate with us… lucky that we have phone translation …., and pictures 😐

Verified reviewbreakfast was ok
Very small room, uncomfortable beds (I came with back pain), torn towels. Hygiene products only for one night in a 3 night stay. Accommodation only for summer, heating is with air conditioning and resulted in very dry air which caused my nose to be stuffy

Verified reviewGreat property with the kangaroos. Nice rooms. Friendly staff. The restaurant was really good.
The rooms were very dated. The furniture was very old and the power outlets were broken in some places. The breakfast was quite limited. The door lock was very tricky. The mirror in the bathroom was slightly broken and out of place.
