The furniture is old and chipped, the windows sills were dusty, the drawers from the bathroom were completely destroyed in inside, the sheet for the couch was missing and the pillow was yellow, so yeah, cleaning is not their first priority. We wouldnt rate this a 4stars hotel unfortunately.

The food was tasty although you had to be there at the exact opening hours or else you risked not having enough to put on the plate. We liked our room, it was big and had a couch for the little one. The mattresses were comfortable.

- Even with full board, drinks are not included at lunch or dinner, not even water - The jacuzzi is fine only if you’re the only person in the whole spa - The water pressure in the bathroom is very, very weak and bathroom has kind a bad smell - Our room faced a very busy street, so if you’re a light sleeper, you can’t keep the window open at night - The air conditioning is not the best In the end, we personally wouldn’t rate this hotel as 4* but rather good 3* hotel.

The exterior of the hotel looks strange. I mean, you can see that it is undergoing upgrading constructions, but from the outside, you wouldn't say that it is a 4 star hotel at all. And the terrace in front of the hotel has a kind of "underground pub" feeling.

The hotel interior is nice, cozy, and comfortable. Everything is well looked after. Staff was nice and friendly, breakfast good and plenty. The hotel is looking for a 4-star grading, but it still has some work to do to get there. But as far as I could see, they are definitely trying.

The temperature in the room was difficult to adjust; the airco didn’t work so you had to open the window to let the room cool off, which would lead to noise from the cars on the streets. Also the temperature of the water in the shower was tricky, after a few moments the water would turn very cold, then you had to turn off the water and turn it on again. If you adjusted the temperature a little bit, it could get extremely hot. Breakfast options were very limited.

The location was very good: near the lake and near the city. The room was very big and had enough storage space. The wellness area was also nice, not very big, so it was crowded on weekends. The food at dinner time was good, not too many choices, but they changed it every evening. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

We booked a room with both breakfast and dinner. Dinner is served until 8pm. Because we realised we'll be late, at 7pm we wrote a message to the hotel that we'll arrive around 9pm. Hotel replied that they took note of our late arrival and they need our permission to ''get some meal set aside''. As we were busy with our road to reach the hotel, we didn't reply to hotel's message. When we reached the hotel at 8:50pm, we didn't get any dinner because they considered we did not give permission for them to put aside some meal. But we had to pay for dinner.

This is a decent hotel, a little overpriced in my opinion. The room was clean and had an AC. Bathroom had a tiny shower and was equipped with only some shower gel. Breakfast was OK. We did not use any facilities.

The last day I got sick from the food. Maybe it was just me, but they put the same Mexican bean for two days and I got sick from it. That ruined my last night at the hotel. Also what I missed is more fruits and vegetables for dinner and breakfast, a healthier selection. Otherwise, probably this is what you can expect at Balaton since everything is overpriced, sadly.

I liked the room it was spacious and seemingly clean. The fridge was empty. The staff was very nice and kind at the hotel, I cannot complain about that.

Bed. I don’t know what was wrong, but I couldn’t sleep well. But most definitely the owner should invest in more comfortable pillows. You only get 1 pillow per person, and they are small. Honestly didn’t ask for options, maybe you could get one more on request, wasn’t that big of a deal.

Location is perfect. City Centre is walking distance, lake is even closer. Big Tesco store is 5 minutes car drive away. It’s very quiet hotel, hotel staff will go all in for your happiness. They’re truly hardworking people, speaking German or English, with no problems. Parking wasn’t a problem at all, secured location in front of the hotel, costs around 4€/day. Will come back.

The hotel is 4 stars but it didn't really seem that way. Rooms were not small, but certainly not spacious. There was a hanger for the wet clothes, bathing suits and towels, but no place to hang it as we had rooms with no balcony. Breakfast was ok, but not big variety and no change throughout the days of our stay. No bathrobes nor slippers were given, perhaps they could be rented for extra but we did not ask. Overall, though we had a good stay, the hotel is rather overpriced for the service it offers, and we expected more.

Our stay was good. The rooms were very clean and the air-conditioning and wifi worked perfectly. The location of the hotel is very convenient, both close to the lake and the sights in the city. The staff was very helpful and kind in general, both in the reception and the restaurant, and the parking was right in front the hotel and its price reasonable. We also enjoyed the wellness area, that was small but not too crowded at least when we visited, so it worked perfectly for us!
