Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe mattress was a bit not to comfy but manageable and I didn't see any tea kettle.
I needed to crash for a night and really liked it! The staff (Oliver) was great and super helpful, the place was clean and the wifi worked really well. The location was excellent 👍 Super nice vibe and amazing murals/graffiti and a bar below! I'd definitely recommend it.

HungaryThe sockets for the bed lamps can be a little of a hassle to deal with, but nothing major. It's not super modern. It can be pretty basic/simple here and there, both in design and functionality. Sometimes I feel as if certain things (such as markers to mark your food or bowls to eat soup from) are missing or otherwise unavailable. The washing machines are staff only, although they do provide a solution nearby (laundromats nearby).
The location is excellent. There are plenty of amenities nearby, along with major historical landmarks. The bar underneath (Nappali Bar) is just as great, and close by. In fact, you can enter the bar from within the building. They give plenty of information, both on a drawing board, as well as in person. The people are very kind, helpful and understanding. It's cheap without cutting sacrificing quality. If you're on a budget, this is the place for you!

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThere was an unpleasant woman in the kitchen, which occupied the kitchen for a few hours, limiting my girlfriend and me from using the kitchen. She would monitor our movements as we would move around. Even threw a tantrum due to me using her sponge for washing dishes. Probably the lady had some issues, no judgement. But there could be some improvements on how to manage kitchen occupancy to allow more time for everyone. This didn't ruin our stay, but was an inconvenience.
The location and styling is very nice. The owner greeted us very nicely and was very friendly and eager to tell us about Pecs. The owner fulfilled our request to increase the temperature in the room, with minimum delay. The location is central, there is a bar below which was also nice. Would definitely come back here.

SerbiaAll the furniture is old, including the bed which was quite creaky. It was also really uncomfortable. There are in fact seven beds in the 6-bed dorm room, with no lockers in the room, or any other place to store the luggage. Towels are not provided.
The hostel is very centrally located, right on the main pedestrian street with plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars and small shops. The host Rafi is kind, hospitable and he gave some useful tips and advices on what to visit in the city. Most of this rating actually goes to him.

HungaryQuite noisy since the street is busy in the evening and at night My bed was super comfortable but very creaky -- lots of noise even if I moved an inch. The door of the room was creaky as well and made some noise during the night (probably because of the air flow) Very important point, there are no lockers in the rooms. Tiny lockers are available on requisite, in exchange of a 2000ft deposit. Can be useful for your valuable things but they are really small, I'm not sure a laptop would fit in for example No staff were here on sunday, at least until I left, so there was no toilet paper or paper towel anymore and nobody to ask Some simple equipments could be added to make stays better for guests, like bath mat in the bathrooms I recommend it for small budgets though
Perfect location in Kiraly street -- nice street with lots of bars and restaurants -- and Szechenyi square Friendly staff Cosy atmosphere in the hostel, that makes you feel at home Nice view from the room Super safe entrance (several keys and codes) Worth the price
