Reviews of Hotel Oswaldo 2 stars

I spend about eight months of the year abroad, living in around 20 countries and regions, and staying at nearly 40 hotels. Because of this, I usually never bother to write reviews. However, I felt compelled to do so this time, as it is rare to encounter a place with the level of service, hospitality, and facilities that Hotel Oswaldo provides. The rooms are clean and compact, carefully maintained by the owner himself, who even handcrafts some of the furnishings. Since the owner lives on the premises, I never felt any insecurity during my stay—there was always a sense that guests are genuinely cared for. Breakfast was also prepared with great consideration for my allergies, showing a level of attentiveness on par with luxury hotels. Although the hotel is located a bit farther from my actual travel destinations, I would still choose to stay at Hotel Oswaldo again on my next visit.

András is the exceptional owner and operator of this amazing hotel! He was personable, hospitable, respectful, and incredibly accommodating. His breakfast is also really tasty. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable. I'm glad to have been able to find this rare gem in the sea of corporate establishments. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's travelling to Budapest.

We didnt book breakfast. Location good for city centre, bit of a long journey for our need which was Grand Prix but we realised this when we booked and as the 3 day event went on we found easier routes, Very easy, quick, regular and cheap journey to airport! We loved the relaxing garden area to sit in (when we had the chance) PS Andreas showed my lads his lovely cool car, great

Andras is very friendly and nice host. He loves his bussines. And he cooks realy delicious breakfast! Recommend to try.

Everything was perfect, from the comfort of the beds to the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, from the delicious breakfast to the layout of the garden. We are very satisfied, we will definitely come back! Also, the dogs make the place feel like home!

The owner really knows how to make the guests confortable. I really recommend this place.

The owner and staff are very nice and friendly, they are very helpful and cooperative. The hotel design and garden are attractive and comfortable for relaxation. What surprised me the owner is that the owner has collected a lot of information about my country before I arrived to shrare it with me which reflects how much he cares about his guests.

Nothing everything was amazing

Our host (Andraž) was the best host we ever had. He provided us with all the information we needed, even gave us a map of the tram line and told us where we can buy tickets and all the cool places to eat near the hotel. He even cooled our room before we got there (it was very hot that day). He instantly made us feel welcomed. And his dogs are just the cutest and well behaved. The room was nice and clean, it has a refrigerator, tv and also air con. The hotel has a parking space.

Thank you for such a comfortable and friendly stay. Stuff and the manager were super welcoming. We were super glad that we chose this property!

The owners are lovely! We were welcomed very nicely, the owner told us how to best get to the city, what to see and where to eat. Even printed out a map for us so we could easily find our tram. Our room was clean and very comfortable and we could safely leave our car at the parking lot. The atmosphere of this place is wonderful, we highly recommend it and thank you for a great stay :)

Fantastic place, staff were friendly and helpful, The room was a lovely size, had a microwave and small fridge, Great connections into town. The court yard garden is attractive and lovely place to sit in the evenings. The garden and quiet street made it feel like it was in the country rather than Budapest.

Having to go home.

Great hospitality of the owners. They are more than willing to help you find your way around Budapest, to recommend you a restaurant, where to go, what to see, how to get there. They even offered sheets and blankets to cover my car in case of a hail storm. The room was cozy and clean. There's refrigerator, TV, air condition in it. The bed is large and comfy, and there's also a couch. There was a huge wardrobe cabinet. The hotel is close to the Budapest downtown by car and I think by public transport, too. It is also close to a concert venue where we went, so it was in an ideal position for us.

The hospitality of the owner is amazing, he replied fast to all the messages and was really flexible with check in, check out, gave us good advice, bike parking(which wasnt planned) and everything we needed. We have a kid and he was very understanding about her too. It really made it easier and a better trip.

The rooms are clean and tidy, each room has TV and air conditioner. The use of air conditioning in included in the price (it is not charged extra). The poperty has a large garden, which is great for families with children. Additionalu, there is a parking within the courtyard. The host is very friendly, he speaks English fluently, and hepled us with everything we asked for.

The room was clean, comfortable and secure. Andreas is a really charming, genial and informative host - he clearly loves his role and, as other reviews have suggested, goes out of his way to make visitors feel welcome. He also proudly introduced me to the improvements he is planning for the summer - beautiful plants & a water feature for the courtyard included!

Not a 'don't like' but a gentle warning. Oswaldo IS quite a trek out from the centre without a car, so you need to be prepared for this. But bus 151 a few yards from the door is regular and frequent & takes you the terminus of the Metro M3 line - from here as well as speeding smoothly into the city you can also catch a direct shuttle 200E to the airport.
