“Sun Rice Homestay doesn't feel as homely like a homestay because there are comparatively many guests, and most of them only stay one night. However, staying there is a wonderful experience, and the family is very nice.
You'll get to eat together with the other guests in traditional sarongs, and they offer tours and help wherever possible. Also the view from the roofed terrace is very nice. I did the sunrise rice field trek which is no trekking at all but a stroll with many long photo stops and very pretty. Since they're booked out a lot and if you want a more personal experience, Ruteng Hostel ist a great alternative.”

The homestay is located in a nice area a little uphill from the city center and on walking distance to the very green outer areas of the city. The homestay is at the same time basic and very well taken care of, provides you with decent home cooked food and a comfortable social area.”
