I cannot fault this accommodation on anything, it was a lovely place.

We had a truly wonderful time during our stay in Alam Wayang. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The property was peaceful, beautifully designed and surrounded by lush greenery that made it feel like a hidden paradise. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The service was genuine and made us feel well taken care of.

Alam Wayang was better than expected. The location is very handy and there are no cars on the street leading up to it so it's very tranquil. They provide transport from their cafe down the hill in a golf buggy. They have great food, a big pool and I had a small private pool in my villas. Every need is met. The bathrooms are gorgeous and the little gekkos in the outdoor area are cute and curious. I loved my stay here and will return. There was even an opportunity to have a massage or facial and to make silver jewellery in their workshop. Gorgeous place. Thank you to the lovely staff at Alam Wayang.

A really nice hotel. It’s surrounded by dense trees, beautiful, and offers a quiet, private atmosphere. The bed was comfortable, and waking up to sunlight on the small garden’s plants and trees made for a pleasant start to the day. The staff were good too. We arrived late, and had left our phone at their café. They greeted us warmly and helped retrieve it—much appreciated. The location is convenient: not far from attractions, with plenty of dining options nearby. Recommended！

Property was a taxi journey away from the main buzz of Ubud, but with grab taxis on hand no real hardship.

You can’t drive up to the hotel have to get a buggy which is pretty long. If you walk down to the hotel it’s pretty long and steep

It wasn't an inconvenience for me personally but keep in mind there is no direct access to the hotel by car. If you are arriving by taxi, you will be drop off at the so called "Cafe Alam Wayang" where a buggy will pick you up and bring you to the hotel. It's a literally 2 minutes ride in the middle of a beautiful forest and the service is available 24/7 (if buggy with a driver is not there you can call the reception and someone from the hotel will come to pick you up within few minutes).

Stay at Villa Alam Wayang Ubud was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I've arrived, the staff welcomed me with warm smiles, refreshing drink, and impeccable hospitality. The villa was tucked away in a peaceful, lush jungle setting, yet only a 10-minute drive from central Ubud – the perfect balance of nature and convenience. The lush garden was a dream! Every morning I woke up to the sound of birds and enjoyed breakfast in the hotel's terrace admiring the surroundings. The room was beautifully designed – clean, spacious, and filled with natural light, yet giving you privacy when needed. The outdoor bathroom with a rain shower was a unique and luxurious touch. If you're looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat in Ubud, I can't recommend Alam Wayang enough. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning my next visit!

Great location, nested in a small alley in central Ubud. So it’s quiet, but you can walk through a very charming stair to the central Ubud in 5 mins. There are many small alleys around to go to different area. Facility is new. Really nice open bathroom. Pool is great and the garden is beautiful

The hotel is about a 20' walk to the centre of Ubud so just bear this in mind when booking. You have to go through some small narrow streets for a shortcut (easy during the day) but can of course take also a taxi/grab. There is a buggy to take you to the hotel itself (not reached by car) but it is 24 hours.

We had the vila with private pool which was amazing and really nicely decorated with some traditional designs. The staff was very friendly and happy to help with everything. You feel like you are within the jungle, there are plants everywhere, really cool! Very serene environment. I also had the Balinese massage which was excellent. You can order room service in your room throughout the day.
