How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNot a lot, checked out after my first night
The pictures don't really show the reality of it. It's a Balinese house with some rooms on top. You are actually living on top of them and it caught me by surprise. I wouldn't have selected it if I would have known
Thank you for staying at the guest house🙏

Verified reviewMy daughter had a motorbike accident whilst in Bali and I flew here to be with her whilst she was in hospital. This was a very stressful time for us and so it meant the world to be able to go home each day to Ancut Sari which was not far from the hospital which was peaceful, clean and a very nice space to be. The bed was very comfortable, the a/c very appreciated and the view of rice paddies from the balcony gorgeous. Just a short walk is the very nice Warung Demetri which has great food and ambience. But what meant the most to me was the beautiful friendliness, kindness and comfort that Made and Ketut provided. I would very much recommend this Homestay 🙏

Verified reviewRoom is really big and the bed is comfy. AC in combination with an air vent is the best way to find sleep even during very hot nights. House is based in a quite area. 200 m away you find a sweet warung with a pool and great coffee and food. Your hosts are the most friendly people I‘ve met so far (and this after 3 weeks of traveling Bali, where everyone is friendly). They were always happy to help and open for a chat. In addition, you will meet Billy, the dog, that loves to be petted but leaves you alone in case you are not a dog person. If you are thinking about going to ubud, but you want to be surrounded by silence and a wonderful environment, this is the place to go.

Verified reviewRoom was nice, still new and clean, shower great, both AC and fan work well.
We felt like we're bothering the hosts, asked for breakfast (at additional fee of course), the answer was just short NO, without any explanation, even while ibu was just cooking for the whole family, that was very dissapointing as we came for a getaway from the busy city to be able to enjoy breakfast with the rice field view, but checked out quick in the morning as didn't like the vibe. The whole place (except guest rooms) is very messy, you're passing the family house on the way to the rooms. Aggresive dogs, barking loud at night. Construction next doors - not very loud at the moment, but you get the direct view on it from the rooms. Hard to find - no name sign on the street.
Sorry in advance, but please check first before booking what the room facilities are. Thank you 🙏🙏

The bathroom didn't had any soap. For getting water we needed to go outside of the room. Might would be nice to have water inside the room.

Verified reviewNice terrace with a beautiful view, good communication prior to arrival, comfy bed, shared fridge and coffee maker (on the corner of the terrace, so not exactly private, but there's only 2 rooms). There's a local family living downstairs, very friendly and willing to help with anything. They got me a bike in no time. Thank you for your hospitality!
Not really about this place, but I didn't like burning fields around & the bad traffic street leading to Ubud, also quite far, but for this value it's ok.

Verified reviewThis is a villa with only 2 rooms upstairs. Owners and a family live downstairs, they are super lovely. Villa is 10-15 minutes away from the Ubud Center but only 5-10 minutes to some of the nicest waterfalls around Ubud, so the location was perfect. Room was super comfortable and nice. This place is highly recommended if you have a scooter.
Everything was good!

Verified reviewThe host was very helpful with everything and provided fair prices: laundry + 1x scooter for 2 days = ~270k There are nice restaurants close by that even have a pool. Taroo is more pricy, but the pool is warm. Demetri has a normal pool and really good food for a fair price.
It was a bit far outside of Ubud, but no problem with the scooter.

Verified reviewGuest House super recommended, only has two rooms and is super quiet, the rooms are new and super clean better than in the photos. The bed is spacious and very comfortable. The family that runs the business below is super nice and friendly, they help with everything they can and care about you. They speak good English and are nice to talk to. The area is a bit far from the traffic and bustle of Ubud but at the same time close enough, 10/15 minutes by motorcycle depending on which area you want to go. Ideal to be quiet. Good restaurants nearby and beautiful views of the surrounding rice fields. Super recommended.

Verified reviewLeaving this place !
Ants everywhere even in the bed, lots of mosquitoes too, when it rains the room is flooding, residents are very curious with every move you make, you are questioned what are you doing / where are you going, felt like police. Cracks in the walls, building does not feel solid...difficult and small stairs , driveway to the object is very steep. Owner turns off the wifi in the evening ... No TV ....No soap....No toilet paper....No shower curtain....No cleaning....no service at all. Worst part was that we had to pay IDR 600,000 extra for our young child for whom we had our own bed with us, totally rude and greedy..... for that amount we could have been in a way nicer place than this, we,ve been in so many places before but were never asked to pay extra for our child. There are way better places to stay ..Never again.
Thank you for stay at my guest house. before you book the room please check facility carefuly.!!!!

Verified reviewNext to rice fields. Great if you want to wake up to nature. Curtains are dark enough to get a decent sleep but light enough to bring in light in the morning.
Apart from the table and chairs outside your door, there’s nowhere to hang out. If you don’t like dogs, you should know they have a dog but he is friendly.
