United KingdomWonderful hotel, the rooms are really nice, we didn't have a private pool but the main hotel pool is so gorgeous we didn't need one. The restaurant is really excellent, particularly in the evening when they set the tables out on the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful. It's very easy to book diving and snorkelling trips, which pick up on the beach.

NetherlandsThere isn’t much outside of the resort. You have to take a trip to see more of Lombok, but Anema had a trip you could book and it was very good! The restaurant listed prices in €/$ using their own exchange rate, which was lower than the official rate. I would prefer to see prices in IDR because it’s clearer.
Great resort! It has a private pool, a public pool, and the beach is just a couple of steps away :) The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. Very close to the gili islands wich we visited by boat from Anema. You can go diving directly from Anema, which is a big plus.

United KingdomSome of the shared facilities are feeling a bit dated. It feels like a hotel which was once extremely up together and smart and now some elements are getting a bit tired. That said, it still represents very good value for money as the villa was perfect and the staff lovely. We enjoyed our stay.
The family villa we had was stunning - exceptionally clean and comfortable and the pool was fantastic. The food in the restaurant was very good and the situation right on the beach is excellent. The staff were without exception friendly and welcoming.

The location is remote and quiet but also, very close to the Gili islands. The staff are excellent. Room is very clean, and the smell of the essences in the room are wonderful. Kayaking at the bay is available. Snorkeling and Scuba Diving tours (with a highly experienced dive-master) are fantastic.

AustraliaThe location of the property is a little bit isolated, you really need a car/scooter if you want to explore other places which are further. This means it just makes it easier/forces you to get everything from the resort such as food/ tours etc. However in saying so the resort can organise any tours/activity for you which will include transport/arranging a guide for you. I was also disappointed that there were no dairy free options of having plain toasted bread for breakfast. All of the bread was pre-buttered. As I am on a dairy free diet I requested to have my breakfast with plain toasted bread that does not have butter/margarine and was surprised that the resort could not cater for this. Fortunately when I did go for my waterfall tour the love staff member Lio who was very helpful took me to the Mart where I was able to buy my own bread.
The staff were all are amazing, big shout out to Lio!, honestly this place gets most of its stars just from the staff from me. I was also given a free breakfast for the duration of my stay, and a lovely welcome drink which was very lovely. The villas with the private pools are also lovely, very spacious and private.

SwitzerlandWe initially booked a one-week stay at Anema Resort as part of our four-week trip to Lombok, but we loved it so much that we extended our stay for an additional week. The food is absolutely delicious, the location is serene and picturesque, and the peace and quiet are unparalleled. However, what truly sets Anema Resort apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. We can wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and unforgettable getaway. Thank you to the Anema team for making our stay so special—we'll definitely be back!

We only stayed one night as passing through Lombok, wish we could have stayed longer! Staff were incredible and kind. They helped us out so much after having issues on our travels. United KingdomThere was nothing I really didn't like/ thought was bad that would stop us wanting to visit in the future. The resort is quite isolated so it's not possible to walk to the local village which is something to bear in mind if booking but it was easy enough to use the local taxi service which the hotel can help book on request. What would be more useful is having more areas/ hanging space for drying things outside There was myself and my husband in our room and both spent a lot of time diving, we needed to rinse our kit, swim wear, wetsuits etc each day and it was a bit difficult spacing everything out to help them dry. There was 1 bamboo rack but with 2 people's dive kit we could of done with some more hanging rack or even some hanging hooks to put things in the coat hangers outside would of been really helpful. With padi's regulations if you havnt dived in a certian time frame you are required to complete a refresher course before diving (which I completely agree with) the pool refresher course I felt was very brief and no were near enough was covered both theory and in the pool itself compared to other padi centres I've dived with around the world. For example I've done a good hour theory session with knowledge reviews question that is completed indervidualy first to see what you remember then instructor will go through it with you (we did not get given this) and some basic but very important skills were not covered in the pool at all before doing a open water dive. Again examples of recovering a regulator if its dropped behind you, mask removal and replace (only a flood and clear excerise was done) and alternate air source with buddy and assent was not even talked about.
Although the resort is in a very remote part of the island, it's a lovely place to stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, I liked that on arrival the resort set up a private watts app chat for your room so if you need anything or have questions you can contact reception quickly and easily. Our room was lovely and clean, spacious (it did make us chuckle in a funny way, that the back of the wardrobe has a separate sliding door that opens directly into the bathroom) of course was a big main bathroom door We had a junior suite which has lots of space, big bathroom, house keeping ensured our room was checked minimum once a day and came in if rain was forcast to move our outdoor sofa cushions to keep them dry. After requesting some extra beach towels were we went diving most days and we could not dry them quick enough with it being humid they happily kept changing our towels so we have dry ones each day for diving The restrante staff were very friendly, rembered all of our names from our group (x6 of us) quickly, allways welcoming. There is a padi dive centre on site, small but friendly. They have a range of dive sites available sutiable for variety of divers experience and levels. There is a lovely little beach bar no more then 100m along the beach which was a lot cheaper then the resort who were friendly and welcoming speaking good English and good food

SingaporeThere was additional charges for room services, on top of the dishes. It is a first for me to be charged based on per trip for room service.
Breakfast was set menu of 4 different varieties eg continental, local indonesian etc. We opted for the private villa and had the option of topping up USD10 for breakfast in private pool. It was a nice touch. The whatsapp system that the accommodation adopted was useful and the staff was very responsive in the chat. I love their attention to details.
