You need earplugs for a good sleep because of roosters chicken songs but it is everywhere same

Best option on Kaledupa, super nice room and amazing food. The owner is a gentleman very cool who speak good english and the family is very sweet. Possibility to rent a scooter and he has contact with the owner of a guesthouse in the Bajau sea gipsy village Sampela to live a wonderful experience of speargun fishing, snorkeling and true freedom and liberty. I recommand 100% Areef homestay

The drawback of being on Main Street is the extremely noisy motorcycles running back and forth. No ear plug can stop. For those looking for a quiet and peaceful accommodation with snorkeling just in front, I would recommend the Hoga Island resort, a magic place.

I was given a room on the Main Street, in Villa MM, and not almost above the mangroves, 400m away, but could come down for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Room was very exotic, all in wood, with OK a/c, comfy bed, clean, good pillows, with easy access to great bathrooms (no hot shower, who needs that ?). Food was absolutely delicious: octopus, sea snails, lemongrass fish soup, great vegetables. The manager organized a very nice trip to a village lying on corals over the sea, and linked to a divemaster for great scuba diving near Hoga island. He was extraordinary helpful !

The reef was great, but I didn't expect to be surrounded by so much traditional culture.

    I could have stayed longer

Food was excellent. Arudin (manager) and Juliata are great hosts. Arudin can connect you with all the great spots on Kaledupa and adjoining islands such as the incredible nearby reef at Hoga Island and many other great things to see such as the Baju sea village and mountain village mountain.

I should have been warned about costs of food and transport in advance, Although, considering the quality of food it was still quite reasonable !

Everything, Cosy bed, Good vibes, Especially the staff were very kind, and Mama Areef’s cooking is very tasty !

Experience local wooden house in Kaledupa

the toilet and bathroom is outside, in separate small wooden house. I don't feel like to go there during the night. Maybe the owner could provide more like outside the toilet area.

The location is perfect! it just right in front of ambeua harbour. So it's nice to hang around the beautiful harbour and enjoying sunset while put on some music. You can also walk to mangrove area. the property itself is traditional wooden house, so they provide only basic room with fan. If you like to experience living like local, i think this is the best choice, but don't expect something fancy. The owner are really kind and helpful. Two thumps up for that!
