Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SlovakiaThere was a lack of storage space for our belongings in the room and bathroom.
The accommodation is in a quiet and beautiful location with a clean pool and well-kept rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist even carried our luggage up to the property since it’s in a car-free zone. Breakfast is chosen from a menu of about 10 options so there’s something for everyone.

AustraliaThe room was a bit dark as had to have curtains closed for privacy but I was hardly there most days so it didn’t really bother me.
I loved the location and the quiet. The rice field walk nearby was beautiful. Very friendly staff and so convenient having breakfast included. The free yoga classes were a bonus too. Air con worked well so had a comfortable sleep without mosquitoes.

IrelandIt’s a really peaceful spot. We availed of their free yoga at 7.30am and it was amazing. The pool is also so calm and beautiful. It’s a short walk from the busy centre of Ubud but it’s so quiet and peaceful you’d think you were further away. The breakfasts were so nice each morning and the staff were very helpful. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were fully booked.

NetherlandsMeh. Nothing really outstanding to complain. Car access would have been appreciated instead of limited to scooters or walking. But just 10 min walk and you’re in the busy city center. A little TV would have been useful to give some extra atmosphere.
Very clean. Available good WiFi, good breakfast, good lunch / dinner. Very friendly staff. Amenities available in the bathroom, hair drier present. Room and whole place was newly finished and furnished, it had a feeling of clean and new. Very good price.

AustraliaNo kettle in room which we missed being able to make a cuppa No TV which normally wouldn’t matter but it was raining and could have been used Access restricted so needed to come and go on motorcycles ( if you didn’t want to walk) and we weren’t insured for that Wouldn’t have been an issue but weather was inclement . We assumed as it was called a retreat their would have been more available options on site and meal options were limited if staying for more than a few days
You could walk to Ubud and escape back up the hill for peace and tranquility. Yoga at 7.30 each morning, close to a great massage place. Staff were lovely and accommodating

GermanyThe rooms I thought would look a little different though. You can't see the rice fields from anywhere in the resort.
Yoga class in the morning and the a la carte breakfast is super good. Bed is comfy, staff super friendly. Location is calm and still within 10 mins by foot you're in the middle of Ubud with many shopping and food options. Surprisingly we didn't see one mosquito.

NetherlandsThe location, it is quite a walk up a hill and that makes it very challenging. Also the sheets were not clean and ants were in abundance. We did not expect that when going to the toilet, you can't flush paper after going to the toilet. This all resulted in us booking another hotel. Be also aware that cars can't go to the location so they will pick you up with scooters.
The people are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is freshly made and we can't emphasize enough that the staff is truly amazing.

DenmarkSound traveled between rooms to a degree that made it uncomfortable to have simple conversations. I was frankly baffled by how much the sound traveled - you could almost listen in on both sides of a phone call your neighbor was having, it was that bad. The staff were kind, but not very engaging and felt very much like they'd been given a script of "say this, not that" and limited by owner's instructions. Not sure that was the case, it just felt that way. It was somewhat annoying to have to decide what breakfast you'd want a day ahead, and still, there would be options not available because they didn't have the ingredients?! Like why have us decide a day in advance if not to ensure ingredients were available? Also no coffee option was a big no from my travel partner. Plus, while the fruit shakes were freshly made, they were tiny. One morning the bread was so stale I doubt even birds would've picked at it and one day the food was so salty they must've dropped the shaker in it or something. The fried rice was usually the best (and safest) bet. It might sound like we hated our stay, and it would be unfair to say we did, we just expected more from a place with such high ratings I guess.
I am confused by the high ratings this place has. It's not a bad place as such, it was just disappointing to us at least. While there are great things such as the morning yoga classes included in the price, we found our stay to be somewhat a mixed bag of good and... less good. The location is away from the main hustle and bustle of Ubud, so it's quiet, but still within walking distance (10 minutes). Nestled between rice fields, the location is certainly one of the main positives. Close to rice field walks and the amazing Sweet Orange Warung.

AustraliaThe sound between rooms really travels so you can hear everything, so may feel like privacy is compromised slightly.
Was great value for money. Included breakfast and yoga. Breakfast was tasty. The pool area was great. The staff were lovely and accommodating. The yoga shala was such a beautiful space overlooking greenery and free yoga was a win. Loved the location. Away from the chaos but walking distance to rice fields and the main drag. You can't get there by car (scooter or on foot) but the staff will collect you with a bike. Room is basic but totally fine and has AC.
