Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaA lot dogs barking through the night from the beach below. Can get very noisy at night and very early in the morning. When i was there a ceremony started at sunrise. That was a bit annoying to be honest. The dinner service is also average.
Amazing location, beautiful sunset. Receptionist arranged her father to take me fishing and her mother to give a massage.Best massage i have ever had. Really nice atmosphere, i have been travelling around Bali and this was one of my favourites.

AustraliaThe lack of shade is a problem. Transport is not easy to get and is a higher cost than other places. No Grab or Gojek.
We stayed at WSH for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff who took our luggage down to our room and given a turmeric drink. Delish ! The view is truely awesome with a large seating area and an infinity pool to take all the beauty that Amed has to offer. The sunsets are spectacular whilst sipping on some local beverages. Our room was clean and again with an awesome view. Breakfast was included and very tasty .. eggs to your liking, juice, tea or coffee. The only thing is you must be physically fit to walk and navigate the steep steps to your room or to head to beach . Overall, an amazing place with awesome sunsets, service and views of Mt Agung and neighbouring mountains . Kind Regards Dennis MacDonald (Australia) Ref no 6543250901

AustraliaThe resort is built on the side of a hill which faces into the traditional fishing village. Lovely to look at but Early morning we were woken from the fishermen running their boat motors and the loud speaker at the school below along with lots of children. Although the bathroom was clean the drainage from the shower wet the whole bathroom floor which drained ok but was in the opposite corner to the shower.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable the bathroom was a bit basic, however it was clean and didn't smell bad (like some do). The view from the pool and outdoor dining area was amazing.

United StatesI did have some issues with the restroom, particularly the shower, where I found a cockroach in the area. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again. Just for the sweet cat 🐱 she was better than any sunset. The hotel is somewhat isolated, so there's not much to do nearby, but you can easily arrange for a personal driver through the hotel. My only other concern was that the tours offered by the hotel seemed overpriced. On a positive note, I found the food to be quite decent, especially the hamburger, which I really enjoyed. Breakfast was average, with a selection similar to what you'd find at most places.
What I loved most about this hotel was the cat—an incredibly sweet and friendly feline that clearly ruled the roost! I would rate my experience a solid 10 just for that cat. ❤️ Without the cat it would be a seven star experience. Another highlight was the stunning sunrises and sunsets; the views were beautiful. The staff was exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout my stay.

AustriaSome small things like sink battery, shower, cupboard doors require a regular maintenance as they simply do not work properly. As we had an apartment for a family with a kitchen, kitchen accessories should be clean.
Very friendly and helpful staff, always with a smile on their face. Very good food and best of all, an amazing, extraordinary sunset view from the hotel including sea, green island and Mount Agung (best in Amed).

LatviaToilet and bathroom was not so good. Water pressure was low and toilet didn’t flush good. In our room privacy is disrupted if we don’t close curtains, but then view can’t be seen. Also food in restaurant could be better.
View was 10/10. Bed was really comfy. Staff was nice and pool also warm and clean.

United KingdomJust bear in mind that Grab of Gojek do not operate in Amed, but we got taxis and you can hire a scooter . There are a lot of steps , all different shapes and sizes and no hand rails ,so if your mobility is not good bear this in mind . There were also a few large steps up to the shower in our room. It is built into the hillside so we did expect some steps , but some white paint on the edge of the steps would have been helpful . The breakfast was ok
The staff were lovely and friendly and Made Suni and the team made us very welcome.

United KingdomGreat location, overlooking the beach and sunset. Lovely pool. Made and her staff are very lovely and accommodating, they went above and beyond for us. We had an issue with our fan and they fixed it the next day, tea and coffee in the room, etc. The bed is very comfortable, we slept very well.

SpainI booked this place basically out of the view, and coming there it was much more beautiful! The scenery is absolutely spectacular. The staff is friendly and correct. The hotel is situated close to both beach and restaurants. We did amazing snorkeling on our own with our 4 year old daughter and saw so much diversity. With a little more adjustment from the hotel side regarding cleaning and food in restaurant, this can become a real gem!

United Kingdom- [ ] Some of the food we had wasn’t amazing, some things a bit undercooked and we’ve definitely had better food for cheaper
- [ ] The food was ok, breakfast was limited in options but came with hot drink, fruit juice, fruit plate, and small plate like banana pancake or eggs with toast, so it was a nice start to the day - [ ] Restaurant is very pretty and a nice place to relax - [ ] Staff were nice - [ ] Hotel rents bikes and snorkel gear however you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere - [ ] You can also arrange taxis and trips through the hotel - [ ] Pool was quite nice but limited sunbeds - [ ] Amazing view - we took the cliff side double sea view room which was amazing and felt very private (the family suite next door didn’t seem to be occupied). All rooms have a sea view though, but there are 3 rooms which are situated in the middle of the restaurant area which I wouldn’t have been keen on (the restaurant tended to be fairly quiet though) - [ ] We liked our room, there was storage space and a mini fridge to keep things cold. There was a kettle with tea & coffee cups but no actual tea or coffee which was a little strange, it would have been good if this was provided so we could use the facilities. - [ ] A bottle of water each was provided but the restaurant was happy to provide a glass of water on request when we ran out - [ ] The hotel did some laundry for us which was returned to us quickly but the price is per item not per kilo so we only gave a few important items in as it might have gotten quite expensive

SingaporeYou can access easily to the beach with stairs, but it s a fisherman beach, so dont expect sunbeds; however swimming is good, water is clear A bit far from the center; however you can still easily find restaurants around
The view is amazing, thanks to the large windows all around in the room Very quiet neigborhood, only roasters and dogs early morning Overall the service is basic, but the a la carte is decent enough, and the view from the restaurant makes everything! Staff is nice The infinity pool area is a bit old, but facing this nature, it worth it

LatviaThere was a glass (see through) sliding door for the bathroom in the family bungalow. Not the best thing when 1 girl travels with 3 guys. It wasn’t mentioned in any of the reviews or be seen in the pictures, so just be aware if you’re traveling with other people. For breakfast it said that mixed juice is included but at check out they gave us the bill and said only orange juice is included. Well, that’s not what the menu said, maybe you should change that.
The pool is really cool, location is good and the bed was very comfortable
