Super friendly staff, top view. Our room was a villa and totally private. And easy to get to. We ate dinner here, everyone loved it.

Stairs. If your allergic to Stairs then a resort on the side of a cliff is probably not for you and lots of amed has steps, this resort has a new room at restaurant level, and the villa rooms are at the first level down which has more ramps .

    Property response:

Thank you so much for your everything 🙏🙏

Amazing location, beautiful sunset. Receptionist arranged her father to take me fishing and her mother to give a massage.Best massage i have ever had. Really nice atmosphere, i have been travelling around Bali and this was one of my favourites.

A lot dogs barking through the night from the beach below. Can get very noisy at night and very early in the morning. When i was there a ceremony started at sunrise. That was a bit annoying to be honest. The dinner service is also average.

We stayed at WSH for 3 nights. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff who took our luggage down to our room and given a turmeric drink. Delish ! The view is truely awesome with a large seating area and an infinity pool to take all the beauty that Amed has to offer. The sunsets are spectacular whilst sipping on some local beverages. Our room was clean and again with an awesome view. Breakfast was included and very tasty .. eggs to your liking, juice, tea or coffee. The only thing is you must be physically fit to walk and navigate the steep steps to your room or to head to beach . Overall, an amazing place with awesome sunsets, service and views of Mt Agung and neighbouring mountains . Kind Regards Dennis MacDonald (Australia) Ref no 6543250901

The lack of shade is a problem. Transport is not easy to get and is a higher cost than other places. No Grab or Gojek.

I booked this hotel in Amed based on the name and the ‘promise’ of wonderful sunset views looking over the bay towards Mt Agung. The views were truly beautiful.

The numerous and uneven stairs are a killer! The room was fairly basic and not of a high standard. At best it was rustic. The bed cover smelt bad. Obviously not laundered. The lock on the entrance door and the door itself was falling apart — not good security. The room safe was locked when we arrived. Breakfasts were included. I had OK pancakes the first day. Dinner that night was mediocre at best. The next day, breakfast was inedible. My scrambled eggs were very salty (as was yesterday’s mie goring). The butter served to go on the toast was discoloured and rancid.

The place itself was very nice, with an amazing view. Lovely stuff, always ready to help.

Be aware that the place is right next to school. So kids are screaming there from 6am 😁. Unfortunately, the place is a bit old. You could see it outside and also in the round. The room, especially the bathroom, was not properly clean, and the bathroom was smelly.

Staying at Waenis is like coming home to a very loving and kind ' family' . I am so grateful that I chose this hotel and I really am very happy with my every day & night there. My ocean & mountain view room was big, nice and clean. Amazing scenery from the room and also from the balcony. Made is an amazing woman who will make any wish come true. For example arranging a special (not on the menu) Balinese dish for me and also learning me how to cook it too. Simply because she knew it was my favorite. Also arranging a good driver & guide named Wayan for me. He is the best caring and kind man who can tell and explain everything while having a tour with him. He is also a great masseuse by the way. I will surely miss those long interesting conversations about any topic with him. Also the ones with Made. It's just that you will get the ' extra extra ' here. Highly recommend this beatiful gem here in Amed. The hotel is located on a cliff but there are stairs taking you down, straight to the black sand (pebble) beach. And its actually a great snorkling spot too. There is an infinity swimming pool with a nice view. The food from the restaurant is fresh and very tasteful. You can sit in a 3 layered area, all with A VIEW. Next time I will plan for sure to stay longer, these 5 days were too short but most amazing. Thank you guys for a great time, you are not only my new friends but also like my family now. Matur suskma

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable the bathroom was a bit basic, however it was clean and didn't smell bad (like some do). The view from the pool and outdoor dining area was amazing.

The resort is built on the side of a hill which faces into the traditional fishing village. Lovely to look at but Early morning we were woken from the fishermen running their boat motors and the loud speaker at the school below along with lots of children. Although the bathroom was clean the drainage from the shower wet the whole bathroom floor which drained ok but was in the opposite corner to the shower.

What I loved most about this hotel was the cat—an incredibly sweet and friendly feline that clearly ruled the roost! I would rate my experience a solid 10 just for that cat. ❤️ Without the cat it would be a seven star experience. Another highlight was the stunning sunrises and sunsets; the views were beautiful. The staff was exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout my stay.

I did have some issues with the restroom, particularly the shower, where I found a cockroach in the area. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again. Just for the sweet cat 🐱 she was better than any sunset. The hotel is somewhat isolated, so there's not much to do nearby, but you can easily arrange for a personal driver through the hotel. My only other concern was that the tours offered by the hotel seemed overpriced. On a positive note, I found the food to be quite decent, especially the hamburger, which I really enjoyed. Breakfast was average, with a selection similar to what you'd find at most places.

Very friendly and helpful staff, always with a smile on their face. Very good food and best of all, an amazing, extraordinary sunset view from the hotel including sea, green island and Mount Agung (best in Amed).

Some small things like sink battery, shower, cupboard doors require a regular maintenance as they simply do not work properly. As we had an apartment for a family with a kitchen, kitchen accessories should be clean.

View was 10/10. Bed was really comfy. Staff was nice and pool also warm and clean.

Toilet and bathroom was not so good. Water pressure was low and toilet didn’t flush good. In our room privacy is disrupted if we don’t close curtains, but then view can’t be seen. Also food in restaurant could be better.

The staff were lovely and friendly and Made Suni and the team made us very welcome.

Just bear in mind that Grab of Gojek do not operate in Amed, but we got taxis and you can hire a scooter . There are a lot of steps , all different shapes and sizes and no hand rails ,so if your mobility is not good bear this in mind . There were also a few large steps up to the shower in our room. It is built into the hillside so we did expect some steps , but some white paint on the edge of the steps would have been helpful . The breakfast was ok
