Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaBathroom was a bit tired.
Easy walk to all attractions in town. Breakfast simple but enough, order the night before. The pool was small but not busy so excellent for cooling off in picturesque setting. Noisy town so expect night noise. Bed was quite hard, but it’s expected!

AustraliaOne small thing to note: the stone pathways around the hotel are quite beautiful and give the place a nice, natural charm. However, the gaps between the stones can be a bit tricky when walking, especially with certain types of shoes like sneakers. I had some issues with my shoes getting scratched and slightly damaged, so just be mindful when walking, especially with expensive footwear. All in all, I was very satisfied with the stay, and if I return to Ubud, I would definitely choose this hotel again.😉🙏
I stayed at Abipraya Hotel in Ubud and overall had a pleasant experience. The location was convenient and the facilities were quite good for the price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the stay more enjoyable. The cleanliness was okay — not perfect, but acceptable. We were two families traveling from Australia. I had a 3-year-old son, and the other family had an 11-year-old daughter. Even with a young child, we felt very comfortable during our stay. Everything was fine and we were happy with our experience. The breakfast was also good — not amazing, but definitely satisfying. I asked for some extra bread and a few additional items, and they brought them without any issue or extra charge. If I ever come back to Ubud, I would stay at this hotel again. It’s a great value for what you pay. thank you so much for everything 🙏😊

TaiwanOnly that bathroom was humid and would get smelly. But I was a huge bathroom and door could be closed. Also leaving the ventilation on when leaving the room helped a bit.
Location is great. 10 minutes to Ubud Palace and market and 20 minutes to Monkey Forest. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Pool with a little rice field view was clean and refreshing in the mornings after pretty nice breakfast offered by hotel. Lots of restaurants, mini markets and shops around. Towels and bedsheet were clean. Shower stream was surprisingly strong , because I have stayed in three different hotels in Ubud and most of the times they have similar issues with water pressure being weak, or lights being too dark/dimmed. (Lights were dark in all hotels I stayed in Ubud). The garden and the little pond with fishes made the atmosphere very relaxing even though outside the main doors it is quite busy.

United KingdomWhat a lovely time! Agus and team made us feel so special for me and my mum's joint birthday. They made more effort for us than we expected, with a beautiful floral display. We loved our large double room, and sitting by the peaceful rock pond. Really good walkable location too and breakfast was tasty and generous with fruit.

Egyptit was a very good experience for the price we paid. The location is one of the best things about it—right in the center of Ubud, close to lots of great coffee shops, local markets, and everything you might need. At the same time, it still feels somewhat peaceful—not completely quiet, but calm enough to relax. The staff were so, so friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. Don’t expect anything fancy or luxurious, but for the value of money, it’s really good.

NetherlandsWe really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the terrace over the rice fields was so peaceful and the pool was perfect to relax and have a swim. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Also got our laundry done and they packed us a breakfast box at 2am for our hike. The room was great - we had a few small things that we needed them to fix and it was done by the staff very quickly, thanks! It is close to nice restaurants and a Grab taxi away from the busiest centre streets.

AustraliaThe bed was springy and not the most comfortable. The bathroom was very mouldy, and the shower didn’t drain very well. The drain was full of another girls long blonde hair from the previous guests which was gross. The air conditioner took a long time to cool the room down, and didn’t make the room nice and icy cold, mostly just a tolerable temperature.
We stayed over Nyepi. The restaurant was open on Nyepi which we appreciated. Meals were tasty, and cheap. Complimentary breakfast daily was fine. Nothing fancy, not much to choose from, but did the job. The rice terrace outside of the room was beautiful and calming. The room was nice and quiet. The room nice sized, good fridge, kettle, coffee. Location was good, an easy walk into Ubud town. The pizza shop directly opposite from Abi praya is 10/10 Staff were fine, not overly friendly. The gardens and pond are beautiful, calming jungle atmosphere.
