Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainRoom outdated and reception personal a bit lost. They should pay attention a bit more.
Good breakfast (especially all the sweets, croissants, fried banana, pancakes etc). Great pool, very nice little beach on a corner BUT with the best sunset views.

FranceThe beachfront is very dirty, with trash washing up every afternoon. Additionally, there are corals there which makes it non swimmable. I would have liked to know that before booking. Not enough seats by the pool for everyone to enjoy it :-).
Spacious room, quite convenient and clean. I could add an extra-bed and a baby cot for my kids which was great since there were no more family rooms left. The breakfast buffet was nice. The pool is beautiful and there is a nice garden. The area is quite quiet which is also nice. The staff was very helpful, especially as I had to modify my booking during my stay.

United KingdomPerhaps I would suggest offering more non-cooked breakfast options (i.e yogurt, options to put on a toast other than eggs). I would still recommend the hotel though!
Excellent hotel. Big and clean rooms and a nice swimming pool. It is within a walking distance from the main town (15-20minutes) and very convincing for divers as it has the Wetfrog company inside (which I would also recommend).

AustraliaI didn’t like that it could be hard to get a daybed at the pool. More chairs needed. It was sometimes noisy with very loud music nearby ( not the hotels fault).
I liked the spacious room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The location is ok. It is a decent walk into town but it is flat with a nice shaded path. There are some eateries on the way. The pool and beach are the standout of the hotel. A wonderful place to relax, swim and look out over the water. The buffet breakfast was satisfactory. The omelette was delicious. Overall a great stay.

RomaniaThe small beach in front of the hotel is, unfortunately, full of plastic from the sea. While this is not necessarily the hotel's fault and we had no expectation of using the beach and swimming in the ocean, since we knew it was near the port, I haven't seen any efforts to clean it. We are aware of the general plastic waste issues in Indonesia, but the strech of sand was quite small and a little cleaning could have helped. Also, every night there was something burning on the adiacent property, causing lots of awful smoke which also got in the rooms. I think this was a major shortcoming for what would otherwise be a pretty good hotel and they should be thinking of solving it somehow.
Good location, 20 min walk to the main tourist area of Labuan Bajo, but still in a quiet area. Breakfast was ok, though not very diverse. Really beautiful, clean and well mantained garden and pool area, perfect place to spend a a couple of relaxing days. Amazing sunset with LB port views.

Czech RepublicThe beach is nice but still you cannot go to the ocean. It is simply not nice - water is cloudy. It is not a mistake of the hotel, there are mangrove trees nearby and the the subsoil is muddy. But what is a big failure of the hotel is that there was a guy at the corner of the hotel beach who was burning trash all day long, including plastics and even put old fins on it, we could smell burning rubber. This is something completely incomprehensible to Europeans in a 4-star hotel.
Modern hotel with very well equipped room and bathroom, we had a very nice ocean and hotel garden view from the 5th floor. Very nice swimming pool. We especially enjoyed cuisin in hotel restaurant, we got there one of the best meals in out 3-week stay in Indonesia. I highly recommend to try! We unfortunately had only one lunch there but still very good experience. Sunset on the beach is fantastic, there is one very photogenic tree in the middle.

IndonesiaNot I didn’t like per se, but the gym can be bit bigger so less waiting for other guests to queue.
Very nice location, easy to reach with a nice quiet small private beach. It has a resort feeling vibe or atmosphere. The staff was kind, the pool is big enough - only watch out that guests tend to occupy several beach loungers even since morning so expect high competition! We stayed for 8 nights and felt very comfortable, loved the food too - not so many options at the restaurant but their seafood basket and seafood salads are very much recommended. WiFi is ok, can be slow at times. Perhaps they can improve this. But all in all, happy we stayed there.

United KingdomBar and restaurant is expensive, compared to local prices, around 2x price in other restaurants and hotels. Eg. Beer cost around 75k inc taxes and service compared to maybe 30-40k usual price everywhere else we’ve been over 3 weeks. They were a bit hit or miss with the taxis. We arranged all transfers with hotel as grab didn’t go there. First one was perfect at airport, second we arranged the night before to take us to the boat in the morning and they charged for this on our hill when qe checked out but hadn’t actually arrranged the taxi, it was fine as one was available but they tried to charge again. Third was to pick us up at the dock at 3:30pm, nobody was there when we arrived at 3:30pm and we messaged and called at 3:35pm and they said they were coming- someone eventually came at 3:55pm. When we asked what had happened at hotel the manager said they’d asked the taxi driver to come back after I didn’t answer a phone call at 3:25pm getting off the boat. Not sure why they did this as we were obviously getting off a boat and would expect them wait for the time arranged at least! They weren’t apologetic about this and blamed us for not answering the phone at 3:25. We stayed two nights at beginning and end of trip and got two different rooms, one was nice. Second was a twin room they’d made into a double but when they put beds together they cover up the light switches so you have to phone reception to be told to pull beds away from wall to turn off lights- terrible design/they could have told us when we checked in! Location nice on beach but beach quite dirty and 20 mins walk from town.
Hotel is clean and the pool and restaurant is nice. Buffet breakfast has a lot of choice although coffee was a bit hit or miss!

United KingdomThe food was no better than ok and I feel they should be upping the quality of their food generally. A plastic shower curtain in our 1st room is unacceptable nowadays but all improvements are expensive to implement & I would understand if the hotel have more important priorities. And a view into the very attractive garden is great but too many people, other guests & staff, walk past your room and peer in!
The hotel has lovely grounds leading to a good sized pool & a beach. The staff were friendly & helpful, the meals can be eaten outside the main dining area which was very pleasant. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, there is an egg station so you can choose how you wish your eggs to be cooked. We had dinner, again the food was ok, not better than ok. We had a nicer upgraded room this time with a larger & better finished bathroom, the last bathroom was smaller & had a plastic shower curtain. The hotel is in a great location with those sea views, there is a dive centre on site.

FranceNice resort in front of the beach. The view and the pool were amazing. The room was ok but nothing special especially for the price. The bathroom was not very nice. I think it was quite expensive for Lubuan Bajo. It’s a 20 min walk from the downtown. They can arrange taxi if you don’t want to walk.

AustraliaI found the laundry prices to be quite excessive, especially since they were charged per item rather than per kilo, which is the more common practice.
The property offers a stunning view and features private access to the beach, which made our stay extra special. The pool was lovely, and the room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond with the birthday decorations I had requested, making my husband’s birthday truly memorable.

South AfricaAlthough only 10 minutes from town by taxi, there are no supermarkets or restaurants within walking distance of the hotel,so that kind of forces you to eat at the hotel restaurant, unless you get Grab food delivery. The aircon in my room only made my room cool if it was left on high, otherwise, I felt that it didn't cool my room sufficiently at all.I suggest leaving the aircon on high at all times,if you want your room to be properly cooled. Although the white bedding had been washed yellowish stains(from age) were visible on the pillowcases and sheet. The drain next to the toilet in the bathroom had a very sharp offputting chemical smell even though it was cleaned daily. The beach in front of the hotel is unfortunately too dirty to swim in and there is a lot of glass shards in the sand along the shoreline and in the shallow water, ,so you must wear sandals at all times.
The hotel is in a very quiet location with a very nice pool area that overlooks the beach. The gym is small but has a dumbell rack💪🏽
