Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt can be noisy with prayers and farm animals very early mornings but ear plugs are provided . I am fine with this but some guests may not be so to future guests please remember you aren't in the main city, you are in a village.
Beautiful gardens , quiet and peaceful. The owner and his wife are lovely People. They grow a lot of fruit and vegetables and try to be as sustainable as possible. Extremely helpful as well. Thank you for showing me around your garden, picking and eating fruit and offering me cuttings of your plants to grow back home . That was very nice of you . This is a Great place to take some days out to just relax and to visit the temples, caves and much more .There is a restaurant on site and also nice restaurants and good amenities near by. Use grab and you can get to wherever you like I will see you one day again in the future .thank you

FrancePerfect stay at Blue Garden. I strongly recommend this place, not in the city, in the middle of nature. Robert is the perfect guest who helped us a lot for organising tours. The restaurant is open at night, service is perfect !

The manager was very friendly and went above and beyond to look after us. The pool area was a lovely place to relax and the views across the rice paddies were magical.

Germany-
I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Garden Yogyakarta. The property is set in a beautiful garden with a large pool and offers a great view of the surrounding rice fields, which creates a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, always available to assist with any questions or needs. Their warm and welcoming attitude made the stay feel personal and comfortable. The location is quiet, perfect for relaxing, but still not too far from the city center—with a scooter, it only takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the center area of Yogyakarta. My room was spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. The on-site restaurant serves good breakfast and dinner, with a decent selection of dishes at reasonable prices. The team also helped me organize a day tour of Yogyakarta’s main sights, including Borobudur, Prambanan, and Tamansari, which was well arranged and very enjoyable. All in all, Blue Garden is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a mix of nature, comfort, and good hospitality. I’d gladly come back!

HungaryThere is nothing negative to say about this place.
Loved the ambience of the place, the architecture, the placement of the rooms, the open-ended lot with the view of the rice fields and that the family managing the property were super welcoming and gave excellent service.

United StatesIt was a little rough around the edges. I’m not sure if this was because I was the only guest at the time, but the pool area wasn’t very inviting (lounge chairs and cushions weren’t set up; no umbrellas). It wasn’t really like the pictures in that regard, which made it look like a nice place to relax. Again maybe this was just because I was the only person at the property at the time and they were short staffed for the holiday, but I was a paying guest all the same… For the price I have stayed in more luxurious places in other places in Indonesia so this hotel was a little disappointing honestly. Overall it was fine but I had expected better.
Robert was very helpful and super responsive! My room was comfortable. I enjoyed the peaceful location outside the city. You can order food by Grab so it’s not an issue to be outside the city center. The driver who picked me up from the airport and took me around to the temples was really great!

NetherlandsThe bed was a little too soft for our liking and we missed some parasols to create shade for the beds at the swimming pool. But still a nice place to relax!
Relaxing garden and swimming pool. Beautiful sunsets. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom is really spacious. Very friendly staff. We could use a free late check-out on our last day because we were sick. Robert was very helpful and checking in the days before how we were doing.

United StatesPeaceful nights and wonderful breakfast by the pool. I loved my morning coffee at the traditional java style pavilion by the pool with rice fields and hills view. Breakfast options that was offered was an excellent idea. I gotta try traditional Javanese style breakfast, French and English style breakfast, and even ordered other menus that’s not on the book. Pak Robert and the staffs were very helpful. He knows the city extremely well and has list of places he recommended and knows how to get me there.

United KingdomOur room needed a bit of tlc. The television wasn't working. I had to request an extension lead so that we could plug in one of the bedside lights (the owner promptly found one for us). The room was ready for a bit of a refurbishment.
The staff were lovely. The couple who run it were incredibly helpful. They helped with organising taxis and advising on trips. The gardens were clean and tidy and there was a nice pool. Breakfasts choices were limited but there was always plenty of it.

Also would recommend to use the airport pick up service. We had our dinner at their restaurant a couple of times, tasty and freshly made. Also very good breakfast! Our room was spacious, clean and comfy. We would really like to come back to this place if we’re visiting Yogyakarta in the future.

MalaysiaThe Muslim call to prayers each day was quite loud at the Resort but hardly audible inside our rooms!!
Blue garden is a very pleasant rustic low density resort away from the maddening crowd which is what we needed after the stress at work. It is quiet (till we came along-apologies to the other guests) and pleasantly breezy, located next to the picturesque padi fields. The accomodation in our 2 bedroom villa was nicely laid out with very comfortable beds. Food at the restaurant was good and you can get beer there too (that is difficult in the predominantly Muslim )!! Robert, the proprietor, is a wonderfully helpful and resourceful person who would make one's stay most convenient.
