The best spot to stay in Batu Karas, a perfect hidden gem. Set in a beautiful tropical garden the cottages are comfortable and very clean with a great hot shower. The whole team are exceptionally helpful, caring and friendly and made our two week stay brilliant. The breakfast is delicious and plenty of choice for vegetarian (for example; banana pancakes, veg mie goren or veg nasi goreng). Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Batu Karas.

Thr place is exactly like it is described. Little hut in the sense of jungle. The Personals are very helpful and 24h there for us:)

Our family room was ideal for the 5 of us, with the children taking it in turns to sleep up in the mezzanine bed! The bathroom was spacious, the shower hot, and the drying rack provided was perfect for hanging out all of our swim gear overnight. The communal area was nice to hang out and play cards, with tea, coffee and water available there. Breakfast was good, with 4 different options available, including banana pancakes which were a hit with the kids. The point beach was just a few minutes drive away - such a fantastic bit of coastline. I'd recommend the green river body rafting trip too.

The wifi access in our room was the only thing that could be improved.

The place is amazing. Nice and quiet. The real treasure of this place was the staff! They helped us with everything we wanted/needed. They were always very happy and attentive and made sure that we were their first priority. We will miss them!!

Just the beds - for me personally, I found myself sinking into the bed and it caused me a lot of back pain. The rest of my family had no problem though- just me. Other than that one thing, everything was great.

The staff were incredible, truly. They went above and beyond to help with some personal issues I had and I will be forever grateful. Breakfast was room, the accommodation was excellent value, rooms spacious and location great. Staff great at helping to organise things too.

You can hear the mosc very loud every morning, but if you are surfers like us, you will wake up early anyway ;-)

We really enjoyed our stay in the cozy Lumbung surrounded by a green garden and extended our stay 2 times. Stuff is really friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back to beautiful Batukaras.

There were several insects, lizards that came into the room.

The tropical cottages are not too far from the beach, surrounded by trees, and the family cottages have 1 queen bed and 2 single beds. Nice and comfortable cottages at Batu Karas.

The power outage sometimes happened while I stayed, so you need to reset the AC. Well, be mindful to save the electricty while away from your room

It’s around 20 mins by walk to the Batu Karas beach, because the cottage only have two bikes and grab as fast as you can. Though if you like secluded places this place is amazing! The staff are very helpful. You can also ask to rent a motorcycle to go around or ask if the staffs are available to assist you to go around. You’ll get a great uncommon tour places! Will definitely go back!

Not really anything to dislike. My wife is Indonesian and thought their could be a thicker blanket, as with the A/C on she thought it was cold.. The closest beach is a working beach and full of fishing boats and no swimming. But, a short drive there is some great beaches.

It was nice and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great location to the beach and with a 20 minute drive to another beach where the sunset is amazing.

The rooms could use a wardrobe of some sort.

The cottages, as well as their surroundings, were beautiful. The hosts are super bice and will help you with anything at any time. The breakfast is exceptional, and you can order as much as u like. (coffee and tea are free ... all day)

Handsoap would have been nice to have by the sink in the bathroom. And I would have loved a chair and small table or even a deck chair on the porch in front of the hut. But those are minor complaints, obviously.

Very cozy, if slightly basic cottages with nice showers, comfortable bed and very good aircon. It is beautifully green all round and they have free bicycles to get to the beach. The bike ride is short and easy, so it’s a really good option. Also the staff were extremely nice and helpful. And there is free water refill plus free tea and coffee all day.
