How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewSnorkelling off the doorstep (be aware of many boats moving about though), Friendly staff. Road was a bit noisy and local bar had music until 11pm, but the noise from the Sunset Point 'day resort' was louder than the local band.
Always difficult seeing so much rubbish - but seriously, if every traveller picked some up, we'd get on top of it.

Verified reviewPerfect spot directly opposite one of the best snorkelling spots in the world. Just walk out the back gate and you’re on the beach. Great pool, outdoor shower to wash off beach sand, comfy beds and great air con. The hosts are the nicest people and absolute legends. We booked 3 nights then booked 2 extra as it’s so good
No fridge in room but there’s a supermarket at the front and they let us use the restaurant fridge

Verified reviewThe room was nice and functional. The AC worked perfectly. There was hot water with sufficient pressure in the shower. During the night, you can hear the sound of the waves.
During the day it might get a little noisy because of the proximity to the street.

Verified reviewIt was a petit gem in Amed. The location was great, you can snorkel right off the beach in front of the hotel. Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful. I would stay again!
It was quite basic but lovely.

Verified reviewPetit Boo is located right on the beach where there are amazing coral gardens. Less than 50 metres to the shoreline from my room. Next door is a mini mart where you can purchase a range of goods. In close proximity is a wonderful warrung (locally-owned restaurant) with many other places to eat and socialise within easy walking distance. The pool and surrounding area is a great spot to relax after hours of snorkelling (or your private balcony).
Honestly this was among the best places I stayed on my month long travels in Bali. The site is perfect and staff were lovely.

Verified reviewThe staff are very helpful and friendly. The upstairs rooms are bright, sunny and have a lovely view.
The downstairs rooms are quite dark and dank. The road noise is very loud as the bikes rev up the nearby hill. We left because of the noise.

Verified reviewBreakfast was good, location good, with a minimart next door and restaurants all around. Nice place.
It's the little things -- a b*m gun hose that doesn't reach where it is supposed to, and a soap dispenser with no soap. Add to that the tooting taxis and horrendous clanging of dive tanks at 05:30 hours and it was a bit meh for the price. Great joint if you like being woken up before dawn, though. Usually in Bali it is the roosters that do that, so the bell-like ringing of dive tanks made a nice change I suppose.

Verified reviewThe location is A++ Just walk out the front of the property, past the lovely pool onto the beach and enjoy the coral reef with your snorkel and mask. Dode and his staff are friendly and obliging. A driver was organised for me. They will arrange a masseuse if you want that. Nothing is too much hassle. I even got a lift to my shuttle bus when leaving. Thanks so much Dode. I liked that the bathroom was semi outdoor. And I liked the tiling. The shower pressure was great. In terms of value for money, you don’t get much better than this.
It could do with some general maintenance in some places, with paint chipping. But nothing urgent.

Verified reviewThis review is made taking into account the cost and value for money. It’s not the Hilton. The bed was super comfortable. The location was great. The staff were so friendly and the pool was clean and refreshing.
No complaints.

Verified reviewWe had a lovely stay at Petit Boo. The accomodation is great value for money. The room was comfortable and bed was so comfy. You couldn’t get a better location. Lots of earrings a short walk away, easy to ride a scooter 400m up to the sunset view. Loved having a swim in the pool and walking straight out to amazing snorkelling. Banana pancakes for breakfast were wonderful. The true gem of this stay is the host Dode. What a beautiful human. The man is wonderful. Absolutely nothing was a problem and he manages to organise everything, along with fixing things, cooking breakfast, assisting with absolutely everything. I was so impressed as his exceptional manager/hosting skills. We would recommend anyone to come here and stay and we will definitely stay here when we come back to Amed.
Nothing
