How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Not enough drinking water supplied. We never managed to get a straight answer on how to fill up other than to purchase at high prices from the restaurant so we ended up feeling like we were doing the wrong thing by filling up from the gym.

Verified reviewThe location is beautiful. A wide garden full of coconuts trees offers an amazing view on the Java/Bali strait. Nice swimming pool and comfy sitting areas in the greens. The atmosphere is breezy and cool.
The beach unfortunately cannot be used, delimited by a huge rocky barrier. No swimming possible in the sea in front of the hotel. The breakfast is nothing special. Room style is quite basic.

It was missing some execution in the details: * cappuccino at the breakfast was at extra cost (50k IDR) * faucet in the bathroom was broken. It got fixed, but broke again in the next day. They tried to fix it every day of our stay * breakfast options were limited and lacked consistency in quality. The last day we had a better quality of the breakfast, it appeared to be another team in charge.

Thank-you for the up grade. Our sons really appreciated. Riski and all the restaurant team were very professional. The food is really good with top quality. Welldone to the chef in kitchen, with his amazing croissants, like in France. It was a real pleasure to have a rest with you. I hope to come back...
Maybe, one more medium towel in room. Personally i did not like the mint smell of the shower gel, but it is really tiny details.

The breakefast is variable and good but we had higher expectation for the restaurant( lunch and dinner) it could be more variable and tasty, i mean the breakefast was better than the dinner. The deserts are better than the main course, this is what I mean. The room is clean and ok, but the pillows could be more confortable, i could not have a good sleep on them.

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at Dialoog Banyuwangi! The hotel has a beautiful design, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and the view of the ocean was just amazing — especially during sunrise.
One thing that could be improved is the menu at Casa Banyu restaurant. The food was tasty, but the options were quite limited, so I didn’t have many choices during my stay. It would be great to see more variety in the future. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time here and would love to come back. Thank you for the relaxing experience!

Verified reviewWhat didn't we like? Everything was superb, the room, the staff, the facilities, the view, even the breakfast.
1. They only open the pool from 6am to 6pm which means no evening swim, such a shame considering how amazing the view is. 2. We couldn't leave some food on the counter unattended cos it will attract ants and quite lot of them. 3. The room price is quite high considering that our trip was on low season

I was unwell and did not feel that going to the restaurant was an option. I waited over 70 minutes to have a starter, dessert and a can of sprite sent up through room service. I assume they were busy…

Verified reviewThis is my 1st time in Banyuwangi. The main reason I chose this hotel because of the location and facilities. The staff is so friendly. Upon arrival from Ijen hiking I was greet by the receptionist and gave us a short brief about hotel. Welcome drink and warm towel provided. I don't have to wait long to check in. Restaurant offered a variety of dish. From local to international cuisine. Gym and swimming pool are available too. Very clean and well maintain by the staff. Landscape around the hotel is so green. Feel fresh. Restaurant is open air concept. Guest can enjoy the meals nicely and calm and the view is breathtaking. The hotel is just beside the sea and offered the view of Bali island on the side of Banyuwangi. Room was nicely done. Comfortable bed and very spacious. At night, guest can just sit at the balcony and enjoy the sound of the sea. Morning will be greet by the sound of the birds.
