Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing.
I love everything about Gayatri. The staff are so kind, helpful & very professional. The Hotel is spotless. There are so many extras, complimentary fresh fruit, snacks & yummy things in the Fridge. The Vegan Food is just soooo divinely delicious. The bed was so comfy. I also love that it's in walking distance to many restaurants & shops but it is so quiet of a night time. I also love that it's environmentally friendly. No harsh chemicals for cleaning, is such a blessing. I will stay here again when I come to Bali. ♡♡♡

RussiaThe house was a bit dirty. I wish it was cleaner) and the hotel turned out to be vegan. I found out by chance, Konda wanted to order meat)) I had to try the roll. but I didn't like it. but it's a matter of taste,
the hotel is very atmospheric. I thought of the spirit of the original Bali, which has figurines, palm trees and a fountain. very cool) beautiful lighting, ancient buildings with frescoes, it’s very fascinating) also a very good pool open 24 hours a day) we took a beer and sat in the pool all night enjoying the place. There are also 24-hour shops nearby. The hotel is located in the center of Ubud, so everything you need is within walking distance. even rice terraces are 15 minutes walk from the hotel :)

CanadaWouldn’t say these are criticisms as much as they are things to be aware of. Earplugs really did help me sleep, our room was closest to the neighboring bar. I had read this in other reviews but you really can hear the live music loud and clear. We were so jet lagged that it didn’t bother us (with earplugs), but a light sleeper may want to get a room on the other side of the complex. Air conditioning was adequate (aka cool set at 18 continually), but if you need a very cold room to sleep this may not be for you (but maybe other rooms are better)
Loved the pool area and breakfast really was a highlight of our stay here. We often choose to eat by the garden. Continuous water was greatly appreciated and helped us cut down on plastic consumption. Accommodated an early check in after waiting by the pool upon arrival which was great.

United States of AmericaThat we couldn’t stay longer…
Everything from our room to the staff. The breakfast were fantastic. We tried most of the dishes on the menu and each one was a 10. The hotel is run so perfectly. Anything you need they can provide. I will never stay anywhere else when we come to Ubud. A big thank you to Bagus and his team for making our stay exceptional.

United States of AmericaNo TV in our room. I didn't care but hubby does. He had his tablet so he could still watch his movies. No dresser in room. We had shelving and a small area to hang clothes. I used my suitcase as a dresser that was easy to slide in/out from under the bed. None of these are deal breakers.
Great staff!!! Location couldn't have been more perfect for us. Walking distance to monkey forest, local markets, and really great restaurants. The daily breakfasts were beautiful! 100% recommend this place!

SingaporeCan’t think of anything.
Gayatri at Ubud, nestled in the heart of the city, boasts a charming Balinese architecture and spacious rooms that evoke the warmth of a traditional Balinese home. Beyond its picturesque setting, the resort offers not only impeccably clean facilities and friendly staff but also a breakfast experience that is unparalleled in quality and taste. This delightful culinary offering makes revisiting with friends a tempting proposition. Despite its intimate size, the resort exudes a cozy atmosphere, complemented by a small yet pristine pool, adding to the overall charm of the stay.

Gayatri is tucked away down a small lane, away from the main street. Hence it is very serene and it makes us feel like we are in a tropical oasis. It is located at the town centre and walking distance to Monkey Forest, the palace, Campuhan Ridge Walk, Sweet Orange Trail and countless eateries and shops. We stayed in a ground floor family villa with extra large ensuite and a large patio/terrace. Love the huge bathroom and the water pressure of the shower is great! The beds have mosquito nets which is a bonus because there’s one or two mozzies at night. The swimming pool is just right in front of our villa and it’s very clean. The hotel ground is very well-maintained with manicured lush green shrubs and trees. The whole place looks magical at night when the lights are on. We love the Balinese vibe of this place and the villas with traditional Balinese architecture. We were very impressed with Gayatri plant-based breakfast menu. Every morning we looked forward to having 1 cold drink(beautiful fresh fruit juice and kombucha drink), 1 hot drink and 2 food items (Breakfast included in room price). There are 14 food items to choose from and we have tried all of them. I must say that not very often we get to eat wholesome, fresh, nutritious and delicious food for breakfast while on holiday. The food is fit for the soul and the food presentation is a feast to the eyes. Keep up the good work!!! It’s a privilege for us to have a long and pleasant conversation with the owner of Gayatri on the last day of our stay. The world needs more business owners like him who places the welfare of his employees, guests and environmental sustainability above profit. Thumbs up for the owner who chooses to place a water dispensing machine(cold, room temperature and hot water) in the room instead of providing bottled water. A big thank you to the entire team in Gayatri. You made us feel like “kings and “queens”! :)))
