It feels like being at home ... A beautiful home. The staff is very nice and helped us to organize a toir that we wanted to make. The patio offers a great place to rest.

Clean, good style, medium sized rooms. The hotel is very well situated a walking distance away from every sights and squares in Yogyakarta.

It's a beautiful building, but what really made it was the fantastic hospitality of the lovely staff, who were unfailingly friendly and helpful and kind, all the more so when I was ill for a couple of days.

The wifi was frustrating, frequently dropping and reconnecting.

In a fairly quiet part of town (that was good for us). Slighly strange that the front door was usually locked, and we only had a key to our room. A staff member usually turned up quite quickly, but we had one 30 minute wait in very wet clothes after a downpour!

some access to the hotel was under construction (around the wall of keraton), and wished there were more sockets in the room. everything else is excellent.

They lock the door so you sometimes have to wait outside for someone to come and let you in. I usually didn’t have to wait long though. The location isn’t that good for walking everywhere. It’s a beautiful neighbourhood but not really walking distance to food

The villa is very elegant, colonial style, and at the centre of Kraton. The Palace and the evening Street food park is walking distance. The rooms are very clean and local breakfast is delicious. Maria and her colleague are very helpful and kind and always smiling. We really enjoyed it!

bathroom config a bit awkward with shower door opening inwards. WiFi is patchy and slow… kept timing out resulting in eventually using my own data.

The staff were really great, especially Maria, and breakfast had western, Javanese and vegan options. The western breakfast was fruit, toast, juice, omelette and jams every day. The Javanese option was different every day but always very good. The room was very good and there was an ensuite. Air conditioning was excellent. Note, however, it was a homestay and did not have the facilities that one would expect from a hotel room. Nevertheless a very interesting place different from other locations favoured by westerners.

Location was in the old area surrounding the Sultan's palace, which was some distance from Malioboro St and other lively areas attractive to western visitors. Great for sights for Indonesian tourists, however. On the other hand, Grab cars were incredibly cheap and readily available and took us everywhere.
