Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceA simple homestay in the countryside near Gorontalo, with stunning views. What truly made our stay exceptional were the incredibly kind and welcoming hosts. Mimin went above and beyond — organizing our car from Manado, arranging round-trip ferry tickets (including a cabin!), and making everything so easy for us. We also shared great moments together and enjoyed amazing local activities. A heartfelt and unforgettable experience — we’d love to come back!

We really liked our stay at Harry and Mimin. They are so lovely people and very helpful. We really liked the location of the homestay which is closer to nature but you still have warungs and supermarkets close by. They also have bikes you can use. It was clean and comfy

GermanyA nice place out of the city centre of gorontalo, between the rice fields. Mimin was always helpful and did everything to make the stay comfortable and organised. She is well connected in the region and will help you with your next places you want to visit, either for a taxi, flight, jungle trip, whale shark watch or ferry to the togeans - im so glad that she was there to help organising everything. Also her sister Maya is a lovely person and a great cook for the meals. Highly recommend this place, if you plan to make a stop in gorontalo.

IndonesiaI showed up an hour late, but a nice lady greeted me and was really helpful. Check-in was a breeze. The morning countryside vibe was awesome with all the fields and trees, perfect for our getaway. There were plenty of open spaces, spots to sit, a gym, and it felt like we were back in nature.

Really lovely accommodation overlooking the ricefields, far enough out of the city to mean that it’s quiet and not busy but close enough to mean you could get into the city fairly easily when you wished to. The room was simple yet perfect as the air conditioning worked amazingly which we desperately needed as it was very hot. Mimin was an amazing host and helped with letting us know transport options and organised a transfer for us. The breakfasts were delicious and the children and animals running about the property made us feel very warm and at home. Such a lovely experience.

NetherlandsWe were there with Ramadan so we expected to have some sounds of mosk in the night. But there were also so many roosters who started at 2.15 in the night and where under our house. This made we almost had no sleep at all. We are used to travelling and have less sleep, but now we only slept about 3 hours a night what was a bitt less. If this was not the case, we gave the property a 10!!
The location is very nice. The bungalow is nice and the bed was good. Breakfast was nice. Mimin is a perfect host who want to help you with all.

United KingdomIt's far away from anything and difficult to find, they do not speak English, in the morning at 5am music was very loud, not the country experience I was expecting. I would have liked a mosquito net, I got eaten alive, breakfast was not offered, when I Whatsapped the owner she offered it but was to late...I little more attention if you are having European tourists

AustraliaFacilities were poor, flimsy building, neglected yard, breakfast poor. Needs a lot of TLC and maintenance. No doors shut properly, no undercover area for motorbike. Ok

United StatesThe pictures of the property were misleading. Bits of trash littered the grounds.
Mimin is a wonderful host. She and her sister are kind and helpful and welcoming. I booked a deluxe cottage and thought we would have a view of the rice fields and a sense of being in the country. Instead, our cottage faced the driveway and another building. The air conditioner did work great, which was good because there were a lot of mosquitos which limited our time outside. Breakfast was very basic, as expected. And served at the back of the property, which is where the rice fields are located. The view there was lovely. The property needs some maintenance and the rooms a good cleaning to remove the grime from the woodwork. The place has potential if taken care of.

AustraliaIt's a rip off. The owners have made these rooms cheaply and badly This was not what we expected. Not as it appeared online. It was a really long way from the port. Very poorly built with big gaps in floor and walls. The thin plywood walls means there you here everything next door. The toilet and bathroom was downstairs and out in the yard . The toilet door didn't close had a gap at the top but stuck at the bottom and I couldn't get out. The stairs are missing half the handrails. Dangerous at night The owner charged us restaurant price for takeaway food.and charged 4 people each full price of car hire to port. Inflated the price for ferry tickets. This is the worst place I stayed in my month in Sulawesi
